"Nice jacket," Jaya says to her boyfriend as she sees him in the hallway. 

"I'm the new assistant swim coach," Paxton says.

They spoke last night after he left Amherst for a break. He's scared. Jaya is concerned about him but she knows that he is too stubborn to argue with. She gives him a flirty smile and walks away. She can't kiss him now because he works here now. She goes and she joins her friends in study hall after grabbing a banana.

"Hey," her three people's greet her as she sits with them.

"Hey," Jaya greets.

"Were you just talking to Paxton?" Fabiola asks. "What's he doing here?"

"He's working here," Jaya replies. "So, what's up with you guys? It's been so long since I've sat here during study hall. Trent said we can have a tutor session after school."

"You're gonna love this," Eleanor says to both Jaya and Devi. "We're watching to see if Ethan takes off his hoodie, 'cause, you know, it's gonna cling and pull up his t-shirt. Like Paxton's did that one day one week before he graduated high school."

Jaya smiles. "Pax has a nice body," she says, recalling his body from just last night.

"I'm actually just eating this apple," Fabiola says to her Indian friends.

"Cool," Devi says. "I don't really need to see Ethan shirtless, so..."

"I'm gonna look," Jaya says. "I'm all Paxton's but I'm gonna look."

Eleanor turns Devi's head when Ethan goes to remove his hoodie.

"Damn," Jaya comments. "He's no Paxton but damn."

Eleanor hums. "Right?"

"Wait, I don't get it," Fabiola says, ruining the moment. "Did we all forget that he vandalized Devi's sport utility vehicle?"

"He didn't know it was Devi's," Eleanor defends. "He thought it was a teacher's."

"Oh, you mean the underpaid heroes we get the privilege of learning from every day?"

"If he touches my Benz, I know surgical procedures that'll make death look accidental," Jaya says and Devi fist bumps her.

"That was so me of you, Jaya," Devi says. She then turns to Eleanor. "You should ask Ethan out."

"Really?" Eleanor asks and Devi hums in confirmation. "Ah. Maybe I'll invite him to my medieval jestering class tonight."

"Sure," Devi replies. "Or there's, like, restaurants and stuff like that."

"Guys, he's coming over here," Jaya earns and Eleanor panics.

"What?!" she squeaks.

"Yo, whassup?" Ethan asks the table. "We're having a party at my place tonight or whatever. Y'all should pull up."

"Send me the deets and I'll be there," Jaya says first.

"I'll do that," Ethan replies.

"Cool," Devi says as Ethan looks her way. "Yeah. Yeah, that's great news because Eleanor here loves to party."

"Really?" Ethan asks as he glances at the colorfully dressed girl.

"Absolutely," Eleanor replies. "I'm like a one-woman disco inferno."

"I... don't know what that means but all right," Ethan says, "I'll see y'all tonight."

After tutoring Trent after school, Jaya goes home and she takes a hot shower and she starts getting ready for Ethan's party.
