It's been a summer and Jaya was gone for about three months with Indra. Paxton went to his dorm in Amherst, across the country in Massachusetts. Jaya will be tutoring Trent because he failed and isn't graduating, he asked Jaya for help since she's helped lost causes graduate. She helped Marcus and their friend Liam, too.

"Oh, my God!" Eleanor squeals when Jaya enters Sherman Oaks High School. "You're back!"

She and Fabiola run over and they hug Jaya. Her hair is up to her neck now and she looks amazing. She's wearing an Indian style cropped top she bought in Mumbai and is revealing her bellybutton ring, some black skinny jeans that are at her stomach, some flats, and her hair is clean and it almost looks shinier. But now, she has a nose ring like Devi but her ring is silver, not gold.

"You look hot," Fabiola says. "Have fun in India?"

"Oh, I loved it," Jaya replies. "Paxton wanted to go but he wanted to get to Amherst and get prepped. We video chatted every single day, though, it's not like we didn't talk daily. Trent!" she yells as they go to the cafeteria and he winces. "Tutoring after school. You're graduating with us."

"Thanks for agreeing to tutor me," Trent says to Jaya. He can't believe he'll be graduating with his best friend's girlfriend.

"I'll get you through the year, T," Jaya promises.

"Thanks, Lil' J," Trent says with a small smile. "I'm almost embarrassed I'm a senior for the second time."

"I'll be sure you graduate this time."

Jaya goes to AP French II class first period, which is on the opposite end of the school of Devi's AP literature class with Dr. Keyes.

"Bonjour, Mme Monet," Jaya greets her teacher.

"Bonjour, Jaya," Mrs. Angelique Monet greets her student and smiles.

Jaya goes to her seat.

Her next class was AP Human Anatomy and she's excited to become a doctor in the future. Mr. Ramos is excited because of how excited Jaya is. The next class is her AP Trigonometry class with Mrs. Winslow. All of her classes are this year are AP but Music class.

Jaya stops by the bathrooms before going to the cafeteria for lunch. She sits with Trent while Ethan, who got hot over the summer where Jaya got hotter, checks her out.

"Hey, babe," Pax greets as he tries to avoid his roommate, Toby.

"Hey!" Jaya chirps. "Treat, go get your bag. We'll study while we're here."

"Okay." Trent gets up.

"I miss you, Pax."

"I miss you, too, babe," Paxton replies.

"Babe? Who's that?" Toby asks.

"My girlfriend from back home, Jaya Singh," Paxton replies. "It's always good to hear from you, Jay."

"I love you." Jaya hangs up and Trent returns. They start to study and Eleanor looks so proud as she joins them.

Jaya posts a selfie of her on her scrubs on Instagram she has a part-time receptionist job on the surgical floor of the hospital until she can get her surgical residency. She also posts it on Instagram and the first person to like it is Paxton and he comments.

PaxYoshida: Looking beautiful, babe. Can't wait to see u in scrubs as an actual surgeon.

Jaya smiles and she likes his comment before the phone rings, which it means she has to work.

Jaya worse some ripped skinny beans and another cropped shirt to school. This shirt is brown and sleeveless, so she's wearing a brown cardigan over it. Her feet are covered in some combat boots this time. Her shoulder lengthy hair is brushed out and bouncing as she walks through the hallways of Sherman Oaks High School after Eleanor declines Trent's proposal.

Jaya texts Paxton and tells him all about it as she heads to her final last class of the day, AP British Literature with Mrs. Gentry and when school is over. Jaya goes to the hospital to do her homework in Indra's office.
