FINE AND SILENT DROPS OF
RAIN fell on the sill of the open window, forgotten to be closed. The family's cat was sat on the top of a dresser, quietly looking down at the sleeping girl on her messy bed where she plopped down an hour ago. Outside, the sky was as dark as a stormy one would be. Greyish. It was seven in the evening. At that time, Y/N should be able to hear the cars of people that had finished work, but nothing came. It wasn't that bad actually, she won't be woken up.The black cat jumped off the dresser and left the cold bedroom after the wind also entered it, its paws making no noise on the ground. The door was wide open and the breeze swept through the room crashing on the hallway doors, slamming them loudly. Y/N groaned, pushing her head further into her pillow to muffle the next possible noises that would disturb her sleep.
This time, it was her own window that slammed against her wall. "What now?!" She sighed, raising her head towards the annoying sound. She swore under her breath and went to close it, slamming it shut. Y/N realised how cold the room was after it and shivered, crossing her arms, rubbing them to warm up. Leaving her room, she stopped in the dark corridor mindlessly.
Then suddenly, furious knocks were heard downstairs making her jump lightly. "What the fuck?" She frowned and tried to just forget it since she was home alone. At least she assumed it. The girl made her way to her brother's bedroom to verify. "Steve?" She entered the teenager's room. Things had flown everywhere. Surely the wind. Or perhaps, his room has always been messy like this? It wouldn't be surprising.
The knocks continued, more and more agressive. It's not like the Harrington's mansion was in the middle of a forest. So yeah, it turned the whole thing creepier.
"Open that goddamn door kid!" A man voice erupted from behind the front door. From the top of the stairs, she directly faced that door. But there were no windows or anything else to possibly see who was there banging.
"She wouldn't open with your scary ass voice!" A girl's voice now took over. "Max?" Y/N spoke to herself, frowning.
"Y/n/n please open the door!" The red head tried with a softer way, but still yelling from behind the wooden door. The young Harrington rushed to open the door and was met with Hopper, Max and Mike's faces."Why are you here–" She started to question but a heavy wind interrupted and pushed her away a bit while the three arrivants ran inside. They all helped her to close the front door shut since the wind was making it really hard. They crashed against the door when they managed to finally close it, sighing loudly as they let themselves fall to the ground. "What's happening?" Y/N frowned getting up beside the man who was looking out one of the windows and assumed something was coming.
Further in Hawkins, giant grey and black clouds were approaching, containing electric flickers. The storm was acting different, even its sound. "Hold on, where are the others?" Y/N got a look at her friends, counting that at least four of them were missing and that without including their siblings. "Didn't you realise?!" Mike shot in a rude tone as if she was clearly bothering him.
"What?!" She huffed turning towards the boy, she was the one being annoyed. "Everybody has left the town..." Max answered instead of Mike. "They left? Why would they?" Y/N met her gaze, while her own expressed a concern emotion.
