Chapter 31 - New Pack Member, Leo

Lilith's POV:

I was currently waiting at the airport with Dem for the arrival of Leo Romanov, one of my father's advisors' sons who will be joining Alexander's pack to learn more about how a standard pack should run. The palace has always believed in first hand training, this is why we are here and Leo will be travelling around the world to understand how different packs work. His first pack, Stone pack. 

"Demitrius, hello" We heard a thick russian accent come from the young adult walking towards us, I guess this must be Leo. I took in his appearance, strong build, raven black hair styled upwards, chiseled cheek bones, I know the girls at this pack will die when they see him. " Lilith, it is so nice to meet you" He gave me a quick hug and a peck on the cheek. Leo is not related to us by blood, but his family has been advising for my family for centuries so naturally we are all very close. 

" Hi Leo, it is nice to finally meet you too" I smiled at Leo. 

Demitrius kindly told me yesterday that Leo was on the plane from Russia to here, you know because clearly keeping anyone in the loop doesn't have space in Dem's brain. Leo will be staying with the Stone pack, so he truly gets a feel of what their day to day lives look like, how they run their pack and what dynamics make a pack. The Palace and the people who work for them are not a part of the pack, even though the majority of them are not an Ivanov, they are a part of the extended family. In essence, the palace is like a pack but without the official name of a pack. 

"So, give me the low down on what the pack I'm going to is like" Leo leaned forward onto the middle centre piece once we were in the car and on the way to the pack house. " So far I've heard that a khuy lives there" Leo most definitely used a Russian word in that sentence and I am yet to even learn a single word in Russian so I looked at Dem for some assistance. " He means dick Lil" Dem chuckled and I turned to look at Leo with a smile, so he must be just like us. Perfect. 

"Yes, there is a very large dick that resides in this pack and unfortunately you most likely will be spending a lot of time with him" I laughed and Leo groaned.

"Don't tell me he is the Alpha?" I shook my head no and laughed. 

"No, the Alpha is just a harmless idiot, but he will be one at one point" realisation had hit Leo that the guy who he was referring to as a dick was the future Alpha and my mate. "I wouldn't say the Alpha is a harmless idiot, because his idocity is actually harming the pack in many ways" I hummed in agreement to Dem, the Alpha not really training his pack and making sure that everyone knew at least the littlest of facts about their own kind.

"Woah woah guys, what do you mean?" I wanted to laugh at the Russian accent, but it also made me a little home sick and made me realise I hadn't spoken to my parents for a long time. " Well, to brief you, the pack is majorly undertrained and stupid" Dem shot me a look when I said the pack was stupid but was I wrong? No. A feeble human being knows ten times more than them with only a year and a few months of actually being aware that she is a werewolf. 

"Is that normal for a pack?" we both shook our head no in unison. 

"Great, are you sure they are the best and strongest pack in America?" both Dem and I laughed, I like Leo. 

We were at the pack house where Caspian, Caius, Arria, Maximus and Vivian were waiting along with the Alpha and my fantastic mate. Please note the sarcasm. " Oh lovely, I have arrived at hell" I laughed again as we got out of the car, everyone was watching us. Leo walked over to our family and hugged every single member, when I said we are all close despite meeting I meant it. He then turned towards the Alpha and his stupid son before making his way towards them, his body language and his faced was almost stone cold, no emotion on his face at all. 

"Leo Romanov, please welcome to our pack and your new home" the Alpha bowed his head in respect for Leo and motioned his hand towards the pack house. " Thank you Alpha Stone" Leo responded with his own bow of head to show respect to the Alpha, after all he is still a leader of a pack and that alone is a good enough basis for respect. " Hi, I'm Alexander and---" Leo stopped him, a lot less respect was evident in the way he dealt with Alexanxder. " Yeah I know you're the soon to be Alpha who claimed another woman as his mate and then embarrassingly had to tell his pack that he lied to them" I think it is fair to say that everyone was catching flies, quite literally. 

No one was expecting Leo to say that, not me, not Dem, not even the twins and they are the worst trouble makers with the largest mouths in history. " Apologies Alpha, but someone had to tell your son" Leo shrugged his shoulder as Alexander was getting held back by his father for being disrespected by Leo. 

" Anyway guys, I guess I'll go make myself at home" He picked his luggage up and walked inside the house, Demitrius apologised for Leo and we followed him inside as the rest of the pack was eagerly waiting for the new pack member announcement. 

I wish the palace told me he was worst than the twins. 

Dem mind linked me and I silently agreed, Leo was going to be a handful not only for Dem but for everyone around him. I am genuinely petrified of what antics he is going to get up to, and that is saying a lot considering I live with two of the dumbest but smartest wolves in history. Caspian and Caius. 

We walked into the back yard where everyone was already stood waiting, there was a makeshift platform that has formed a stage and this is where the Alpha will formally introduce Leo as a new pack member. We walked the furthest away from the pack, aware that there were eagle eyes on all of us, especially myself. 

Once we were situated and made ourselves comfortable, the Alpha walked on stage flustered with Leo hot on his tail. As soon as Alexander's eyes laded on Leo there was a visible tense in his posture and his jaw clenched, he knew Leo was here for trouble and he was shitting himself. 

Oh Leo, you better give Alexander a piece of your sass.
