Lilith's POV -

"Demitrius' office is just here, you can come with me or you can stay here your choice"  I said putting my cup down, I made my way out of the kitchen and down the hall to the infamous office. Footsteps behind me alerted me of Alexander's choice, I guess he is coming with me.

"Do you know exactly what the Alpha sent you here for?" I asked as I retraced the steps that Demitrius told me over the phone. "No, he just told me that it's important" I nodded my head and looked for the folder that Dem told me to give him. I found it exactly where he told me they will be, damn he is one organised wolf.

"Let's see" I said walking past Alexander and back into the kitchen where my cup of loveliness was waiting for me. "What are you doing?" Alexander asked as he followed me, jesus he was acting like a lost puppy today. " Looking at what is inside this folder" I replied sitting down and opening the folder.

"Are you allowed to do that?" Alexander looked at me unsure, unsure if to let me look at the documents or if to snatch the folder away from me. I looked at him and rolled my eyes, I feel like I know more about our kind than he does and I didn't grow up in a werewolf family. "Demitrius wouldn't have told me where the folder was if he didn't want me to know what is in it" I replied scanning each of the documents. It was written work to do with both of the pack attacks, an explanation of what had happened, what has been sent to the palace, who fought, who got injured. "What is it?"

I forgot he was even here.

"Pack attack stuff" I replied closing the folder and pushing it towards him.

"Oh" He replied looking at the folder with a hard gaze, he was thinking of something and that something was bothering him greatly. I wish I could read minds. "Can I ask you a question?" I smirked. "You just did" I replied staring at him, it felt weird to be in his presence like this. He was relaxed, he wasn't being a dick, it felt right.

This is how we should be with him, he is our mate.

He rejected us and claimed another as his, I don't think he is our mate anymore.

"Can I ask another?" I smirked again.

"You just did" He was gazing into my eyes, he smiled at my playfulness and I was physically fighting myself not to smile back. I must not forget what he did and how he treats me when we're around others. "Where did you learn to fight like that?" He asked me, he was being serious and I could tell that a simple answer was not going to satisfy him.

"It's in my blood" I replied not exactly giving him the truth but at the same time not lying.

"But-- you fought better than my pack warriors and I--"

"Well I guess you've got to train your pack warriors" I sighed and coughed, I didn't have the energy for his interrogation. "Are you sick?" Alexander was suddenly more alert.

"I am"  I replied stretching my arms. I didn't understand why exactly but I didn't exactly mind him being here, I wanted myself to be repulsed by him being here but I wasn't. "You should rest then,  I can make----"

"Lil, you and I need to have some serious talks" Caspian's voice could be heard from where we were sat, may I remind that they had come in from the front door. " What do you mean you and her? Include me in it too you dumbass, I'm just as much of a victim as you are" They both walked into the kitchen and stared straight at Alexander.

"What are you doing here?" They asked in unison, I could feel their anger penetrating through their wolf skin.  Alexander opened and closed his mouth like a fish, he was never really cornered by the Ivanov's like this. He had always faced us with the protection of his father or with his pack's support, regardless if they were next to him or not. " What is he doing here?" They both looked down at me, their attitude changing completely.

"Alexander came here for Alpha duties" Demitrius walked into the kitchen and you could tell that Alexander was shifting in his seat. " Has he finished those Alpha duties or?" Caspian was rolling on his feet, he really wanted Alexander to leave and we could all tell.

"No, he hasn't finished his coffee so I suppose he hasn't" Vivian strolled into the kitchen followed by Maximus and Arria. Alexander was extremely uncomfortable, my family being the way they were it was difficult not to laugh.

Payback for calling my driving shit.

Vivian's voice rung through our heads and I shook my head in shame, I thought the twins knew better than to insult Vivian. Vivian always had the upper hand, even if you think she won't she will find a way for her to do.

"I--" Alexander was cut off by Vivian.

"Oh, don't worry about them. Your father mentioned a formal dinner as an apology for your pack, we would like to formally accept that invitation" Vivian smiled whilst we all snapped our heads towards her.

Does she realise what she's done?
