Before I start the chapter I would like to add a little authors note.

I don't usually do them but I feel so overwhelmed with the support you've been showing me with this book that I have to thank you all for it.

Thank you for the lovely comments, the votes and the reads, I wanted to make sure you all know that it doesn't go unnoticed and I enjoy reading all of your comments.

Enjoy this chapter :)

Lilith's POV:

"And he really was going to say that to you?" Caspian was staring at me with wide eyes, I told everyone the story regarding Alexander when they all had gotten home. Because of Alexander, I couldn't sleep.

"I say it's the mate bond" Maximus was leaning on a chair in the kitchen, I was sat on the counter and everyone else was sat around in weird positions around the kitchen. " Bullshit" I snorted, Alexander doesn't feel any mate bond.

"He was asking about you when you was in  Russia" Vivian interjected.

"Not to mention that he was anxious as fuck, he was a wreck for the three weeks" Maximus added and I looked to Demitrius for confirmation. He nodded his head with pursed lips. "I guess he needs to try harder if he's going to carry on this bullshit about him and that girl" I tried to laugh it off but it stayed on my mind. Was he really that anxious as he said he was?

His wolf was.

And you could feel his wolf all the way across the globe?

Yeah.

I internally rolled my eyes at my wolf who was melting when it came to Alexander's wolf.

That's because his wolf isn't a total dick like Alexander.

Yeah that may be true.

"Enough about him, has anyone got any news about the rogue attack earlier?" I looked at all the faces in the room, no one said anything. " I just don't believe it was an attack made by chance or by someone of small rank" I put my hands up in surrender letting everyone know my opinion.

"Yeah neither do I, I also suspect that the person doesn't know that we're on this land otherwise they wouldn't attack" Caius pointed out and I agreed, no one messes with the Ivanov's. We're descendants of the moon goddess herself.  "Alright, but where do we even start?" Vivian stood up and started making coffee, this is going to be a long night.

"Literally everywhere and anywhere with this pack" Arria widened her eyes in disappointment and I  laughed. " Dem, what's the pack border like?" I asked him as Vivian was passing everyone a cup of coffee. "In what sense?" Dem asked.

"Security sense"

"Hold on" Demitirus stood up and walked off, a few minutes later he retreated with a big folder of papers. He opened the file and pulled out a folded paper, folded about seven times. Once he straightened the paper out, it was a sketch of the pack territory with every single border, no matter how rough or straight. "From speaking to the Alpha briefly, there were seven men out patrolling the border"

v"Seven men?" I asked shocked, the territory was huge.

"Yeah" Demitirus nodded understanding my shock.

"This Alpha is even more stupid than I thought" Caius fell back onto his chair and laughed.

"Either that, or he doesn't have trained people available to guard the border at all times" Arria added which made Caius quickly shut his mouth. " I find it hard to believe that an Alpha with that much land and with one of the biggest packs in America is struggling to find qualified people for pack border control" one thing that annoyed me about Vivian, she always had to find a qualifying point to demolish Arria's argument.

"Still worth checking out, but really? Only seven people? I know it was lunch time but" Demitirus looked at the piece of paper in front of us.

"I guess it's time to ask the Alpha himself"

----

"I can't believe we actually have to go to the pack house, why couldn't he have just come to our house?" I agreed with Caspian as I drove towards the pack house.

Demitirus thought it was a good idea to ask the Alpha for a meeting straight after we had our own family meeting. " I swear Alexander better not be involved in that, I won't be happy" I laughed.  "Neither will I, I'm not in the mood for another encounter after today" I yawned as I pulled into the driveway of the mansion that so little people live in but so many people spend time in.

We got out of my car and I slammed my door shut, I was in a bad mood today.

"What did the car ever do to you?" Maximus touched my shoulder and pretended to be burnt from the contact. " Get me here that's what it did" I mumbled in distaste looking up at the double doors which flung open, revealing the Alpha and the Luna.

"Welcome" They all walked over to us and bowed, we acknowledged them and greeted them the most polite way we possibly could. "You called for a meeting? I assume it's regarding the attack earlier on?" The Alpha whispered, does his pack not know that they were attacked earlier?

"Yes, we would like to discuss a few details with you if that's okay?" Demitrius didn't really ask, he kind of said it without the Alpha having much choice. Not that he would decline anyway. "Of course of course, please follow me to my office. I will have to get my son as he is now joining me with my pack duties, he's currently with his...mate"  He said that with a lot of distate, I looked at the twins in intrigue. "That's not a problem" Demitrius tried to mask his distate at Alexander being in the room with us, he did so well. I don't think it could be the same said for us.

The Alpha walked inside the house, the Luna and us following them to wherever his office is. People were doing their daily routines in the pack house, the adults were either walking to a destination or they were stood mingling with the other adults. Many have just finished their day job and this was their relaxing period. Some children were running around the house, some to the playroom whereas others were running outside for the pool or for the playground. It was nearing dinner time, so there was a nice aroma of the evening meal floating around the house.

"Just in here" The Alpha opened his door and let us pile inside, this must be his conference room rather than the office as there was a big long table in the middle of the room. We all walked in and sat around the table.

"I'll go get you some refreshments" The Luna smiled and walked out of the room.

"I'll go get my son" The Alpha bowed his head and also left the room.

We looked at each other raising our eyebrows.
