Lilith's POV -

I was currently sat in the passenger seat of Alexander's Mercedes as he drove us to the nearest coffee shop, plan is to get a coffee and lunch and then get back. I am not missing any lessons and getting in trouble with Demitrius for this asshole, it is most definitely not happening.

"So, how are things?" Alexander broke the awkward silence with an awkward question, why would I tell him how things were? Yes so Alexander basically I am a confused girl because you happily rejected me in front of the whole school, took another as your mate, I also found out I'm the long lost royal princess and for some reason I can't get away from you. " Yeah, fine" I replied not even glancing at him, we turned into the parking lot of Gina's Diner and he stopped the car.  "This isn't a coffee shop?" I asked him finally sparing him a look.

"I know but I didn't think that a croissant was going to be sufficient for wolves for lunch" I wanted to roll my eyes and cuss him out but I knew I couldn't do that, and he was also very right and I was very starving. " The only reason why we are not turning around and going back to the school is because I am hungry, I hope you're aware of that" I looked towards the diner, I was actually very very starving. "Y-Yes course" He stuttered as he realised that this was a dumb idea, and I realised that it was a dumb idea. Why did I even agree to go for coffee with him let alone actual lunch?

I got out the car before I shown him how pissed I was at him and at myself, I'm sure my wolf must have been controlling my decisions or something because surely I wouldn't agree to this willingly?

I knew he was fast to get out after me because I smelt his scent following my into the diner, once the door was opened my nostrils were filled with heavenly scents of all sorts of ingredients. As much as I hate Alexander, I'm glad he defied the instructions of a coffee and croissant for an actual substantial lunch. " Table for two please" I didn't realise how close he was to me until he spoke, it made me jump a little but I regained my composure. "Sure, follow me" the waitress that was walking us to our table was clearly older than us but not by much, the subtle glares she was sending my way every time our eyes met indicated that she would rather I not be here. I found it humorous really.

"Here are your menus" she placed the menus in front of us and then she shifted her body towards Alexander. " What can I get you?" She mustered up the most flirtatious and cute smile she could, Alexander awkwardly shifted from her glaring eyes towards the menu and then towards me. " Ladies first" he sent me a small smile as he said that and something in me fluttered, Lilith do not let yourself have any form of reaction towards his words.

"May I have the strawberry refresher please" I shifted my eyes towards the menu and then at the waitress, being sure to avoid Alexander's eyes as I did not want to give anything away. I refused to give anything away. " I will have the same" I took a quick glance to see Alexander already looking at me so I diverted my eyes back to the menu, rereading the same items over and over. Our drinks didn't take long to arrive and by that point I had already made my mind up on my lunch.

"Are you guys ready to order?" I closed the menu and looked up at the waitress, extremely aware of the burning gaze from Alexander's eyes. "Yes, can I please have the parmesan chicken sandwich" the waitress quickly scribbled my order down without giving me a second glance, she made sure to be fast with turning her attention towards Alexander with a smile on her lips. " I will have the same" as with the drinks order, Alexander was already fixing his gaze on me expecting me to ask if he was copying my order, but my lips stayed firmly shut. The waitress, clearly frustrated with the lack of attention that Alexander was giving her, scribbled his order down too and strutted off in annoyance. Quite frankly, I wish Alexander was giving her more attention so it would take the attention towards me off my shoulders.

" How did you get to know the Ivanovs?" Alexander asked me, straight off the bat, a very personal question that he is brave to think I would answer truthfully. "How did you get to know your family?" I retorted taking a sip of my drink and looking at him for the answer.

"Well...I.... I never really got to know them, I was born into my family" I nodded my head, a smile close to creeping up on my lips because only if he knew. " There you go then" I answered back looking around for the waitress, eager to get them food and get this over and done with.

"Yes but they're not your family, so how did you get to know them?" I wanted to so desperately roll my eyes and advise him that bees don't like it when you poke around their hives but I couldn't, I had to stay polite and formal. " What makes you think they're not my family?" I raised an eyebrow, actually interested in what his answer had to offer.

"Well you're not born into their family so technically they're not your family" I wanted to laugh but for obvious reasons refrained from doing so. " That is your opinion" I replied and at the right time the food arrived and so did some nice and needed peace and quiet.

After we ate the food, Alexander decided it was a perfect day to carry on being annoying.

"You moved from England right?" I nodded my head.

"How come?" Again, poking his nose into business that really didn't concern him.

"Because I moved from England to America" was my answer.

"You're not going to give me an actual reason are you?" I shrugged my shoulders.

"There isn't a reason" I answered lying through my teeth, I'm not about to tell the boy who was meant to love and cherish me forever but decided not to that my mom who wasn't my mom got killed by who god knows who and the only living family I believed I had at the time was my great aunt. "There is a reason for everything" Alexander responded, his words clearly meant a great more than met the eye but I wasn't going to call him out on it.

"Yeah, some people should really rethink their reasons behind their actions a lot more than they do"

Or maybe I was.
