Chapter 9 - She's back

Lilith's POV:

" So how do you feel now?" Me and Demitrius had just come off pack border control, we let the others rest after the long flight. " A lot stronger" I admitted, since the marking of a royal, me and my wolf felt much more stronger, both mentally and physically. " Are you ready for school?" He asked me and I looked into the distance. " To be quite honest with you, I am but then I'm not" Demitrius nodded, he understood that I was ready to face school, but unsure if I was ready to face him.

The past three weeks in Russia has allowed me a lot of thought on Alexander, we're destined mates, whether he missed  me or in the slightest felt worried about me, I was unsure. Apparently, a mate bond wasn't one that could be easily ignored, but Alexander was defying the odds here, he disregarded me like some piece of trash at the edge of a road that someone has thrown without a second thought. That thought alone, now that I understood mates more, was a pretty painful blow, but I could easily manage without him before, I could easily manage without him now.

" Good morning workers" I rolled my eyes as soon as I stepped foot into the kitchen after getting ready for the day ahead, I was wearing a simple oversized jumper with some high waisted jeans, I may be changed, but my personality has not changed. I will not change the way I dress just because my mate likes to see girls in outfits that don't cover a lot, my mate should love me for who I am and if he can't do that, then he doesn't deserve me. " Fuck off Caspian" I slid into the seat next to him and started eating the blueberry pancakes, my favourite pancakes.

" Watch your language Princess" I threw Caius a warning glance, I was tired after that pack control and I could have easily taken the offer to sleep. " Woah woah, calm down Lil" I smiled a victorious smile at Caius and he scowled back at me, I felt like this day was going to be a long one and I didn't really have the energy for that.

" Everyone ready?" I nodded my head as I put my plate in the sink and grabbed my car keys.

" Are you sure you want to drive?" Max asked me and I rolled my eyes, when  I was in Russia I couldn't drive for a whole three weeks! THREE WEEKS! " Trust me when I say that I'm more than ready to drive, mom and dad wouldn't let me drive anywhere when  I was in Russia" Dem laughed as he understood our parents, everytime I wanted to go somewhere I was escorted to and from the place. " Well  I'm coming with you because you actually drive" Caspian skipped over to me and linked his arm on mine.

" The fuck you mean she actually drives?" Demitrius looked at Caspian with a really betrayed and hurt expression. " I'm sorry Dem, but he is right, you don't drive you sort of roll the car along the road" I burst out laughing which resulted in a death glare from Demitrius.

" Sorry Dem, not everyone can be a good driver" I shrugged my shoulders and walked over to the adjacent garage door from the kitchen. " Sorry Lil that I value my life" I rolled my eyes at my brother's cautiousness. " We're werewolves, we would have to drive, like, off a cliff for us to actually die" it was Demitrius' eyes to roll this time.

" Fine if you really want to race, then let's do it" We all gaped at Demitrius as though we had seen a ghost, which in the world that we live in, would be absolutely possible. " Caius, am I having heart palpitations, is this a heart attack that I'm having?" Caspian grabbed Caius' hand and placed it on his chest, exactly where his heart was. " Call an ambulance, Demitrius' words had caused my twin a heart attack" Caius started frantically rummaging through his bagpack whilst Caspian fell on the ground. " Noooooooooo" Caius dropped on his knees and started fake sobbing.

" Why the fuck do I live in such a fucked up family?" Vivianna looked at the twins as though they were lunatics, in which they were, and slid into her car seat. " Well Dem, I guess it is on" I said smiling evily at my brother, the games have just begun.

As I drove into the school parking lot, nearly wiping some sophomore out in the process, I slowed down and drove up to where we usually park, Demitrius was already parked there looking as smug as ever.

I turned my engine off and stared at the twins. " He cheated" they said in unison and I agreed, there was no way that he could have gone faster than I did. I swung my door open, completely oblivious that my entrance to the school would cause many people to take a double take.

" You have so fucking cheated, there is no way" I grabbed my bag from the back seat and turned my full attention to Demitirus. " Well, no one said we couldn't take short cuts" I stared at him in disbelief, the sneaky little shit. " I want a retake, this time the rules of the race will be written down on paper" I slung the bag over my shoulder.

"Is someone a bit sore because they lost" I turned my deadly stare at Demitrius.

"Well not really considering you had to take short cuts to beat me" I replied smugly before starting to walk towards the school entrance. I froze for a second when I noticed everyone that was outside with their mouths hung open. I turned around to face my family who all had smirks on their faces, I threw them a questioning look before I rolled my eyes and turned back around to walk into the school with them or without them.

"You're back" I pursed my lips into a thin line as Ii stood infront of Alexander, I gave him a small nod before stepping around him and walking into the school, my family following me.

"I swear to fuck if I see another person stare at me like I'm a freak I will..." I was cut off by Caspian. " Apply for the circus?" I looked at him in shock. " Don't worry they would accept you without people looking at you like a freak" My mouth hung open in even more shock.

" Little fucking shit" I said slapping him on the back of his head.

"I may be a little fucking shit but you're a little fucking freak" Caspian was really testing my patience today. " I know the password to your room" Caspian's smile faded from his face. "Passwords are there for a reason, you know to stop INTRUDERS" 

"Well no shit" Caius placed his tray of food down next to Caspian. 

"Wow you're brave" I said looking at the pasta covered with a white sauce on Caius' plate. 

"Am I?" He opened his school bag to show a box from the local restaurant to our school. 

"No you're smart" I said confused as to why we haven't done that before.

"We're going" Demitrius stood up, he looked anxious and deep in thought, as though he was mind linking someone. " Where?" Caspian asked looking at Dem, I knew something was wrong just by looking at him. "South border, now" We all stood up grabbing our bags in the process. 

"My poor mushroom and cheddar cheese pasta" Caius looked at his pasta before throwing the food away and following us.
