Chapter 15 - Operation KLIS

Lilith's POV - 

Alexander and I walked back to the cafeteria side by side, I don't know why but it felt right to do that. The double doors that I use everyday to enter the cafeteria came into view and I quickened my pace. A few sparks and a hand on my wrist stopped me from going any further, I turned around and looked at Alexander's hand wrapped around my much smaller wrist. 

"Oh" Alexander let go off my hand and looked down for a few seconds before looking back up at me. " Could you not tell anyone that...that happened?" He was scratching his neck awkwardly and looking anywhere but me, I pursed my lips. " Of course" I replied turning around and placing my hands on the doors. " Your family?" I sighed and turned back around to face the dickhead himself. " Same" I replied rolling my eyes, this time I didn't wait for anything from him and pushed the doors open and walked in. 

I felt eyes on me as soon as I walked in, then the whispers started when Alexander came in straight after me. I wanted to roll my eyes, but I kept an emotionless gaze and fixated my stare on my family who were all looking at me, trying to figure out what I was feeling. 

As soon as I sat down I stared at Demitrius. " If you make me do that one more time" He smirked at me. " Payback for being a dick in class" I looked at him with hurt and shock. 

"I was a dick because of the twins" I accused pointing at the twins who were slurping on a milkshake. " Irrelevant" Demitrius leaned forward and carried on smirking. 

"You being my" I stopped myself realising that people were probably trying to listen into our conversation, I didn't particularly want people to know that Dem was my brother as things in their brains would click and word would get out. I don't particularly want my life in danger. "Yeah go on" I glared at him. 

"Wait till we get home" I said throwing extra daggers as I stood up and went and stood in the dinner line. 

"Have you told them?" I turned around to find Alexander stood behind me. 

"Told them what?" I asked picking a tray up and waiting for the line to go ahead. 

"What I asked you before" I wanted to once again roll my eyes, he should know my family are not gossipers. " I don't need to tell them" I replied looking at the range of sandwiches that were left, none looked very appealing. " How can you be so sure?" He asked me, I wanted to laugh at his question. " It's called trust" I said picking a simple sandwich and a bottle of water up, I rushed to the cashier and passed her my items. " Can you trust them?" He was prodding and following me, what is wrong with him. I paid for my food and turned to face him. 

"Do you not trust your family?" I stared at him deeply, you could tell he was trying to scrutinise my question. " I trust my family, they're not your family" I stared at him in bewilderment, he doesn't realise that I'm an Ivanov. He doesn't think I am a royal. "They ARE my family, therefore I trust them" I turned back around and walked back to our table, I didn't wait for him to say anything because he didn't need to say anything. 

"What did he want?" Vivian was the first to ask the question once I sat down. 

"He wanted me to make sure that none of you told anyone what happened before" I looked at Caspian and Caius as they were usually the blabbers of our group. "Why what happened before?" Aria asked me. 

"I'll tell you at home" I replied and finally opened up my sandwich, home could not come quick enough.

"I can one hundred percent guarantee you that he is starting to lean towards the mate bond" Maximus was throwing a tennis ball up in the air and then catching it again. We were currently having our general after school coffee meeting in the kitchen and I had just told everyone of the incident after class. "I don't know what it was, but it was weird" I replied to Maximus' comment. 

"As soon as Dem mentioned about sending Lil away, Alexander turned up out of nowhere and was really angry" 

"Angry, he was pissed" Caspian corrected his twin. 

"So he doesn't want us to tell anyone?" Aria asked for clarification and I nodded my head. "Why?" She was confused but I knew exactly why he didn't want anyone to know. 

"Firstly" I started before taking a sip of my latte. "He has told his whole family that Emma is his mate and ordered all of the teens to not say anything else. Secondly, he doesn't actually realise that I'm an Ivanov" I finished off stretching my legs that have been in the same position since we have gotten home. "Wait, what?" Demitirus scrunched his forehead in confusion, everyone else was as confused at he was. " Today in the lunch line he mentioned something about trust,  I asked if he didn't trust his family and he said he did, but that you are not my family" The look of shock was evident in everyone's eyes. " So he is that stupid and that blind, jesus" Caspian whistled at the end and it made me giggle. 

"Yes he is that stupid" I laughed.  "But it made me think, if he doesn't know that I'm an Ivanov, then many other people must not believe that I am too" I said looking down at my coffee and back up at my family. The family that I am so blessed to have. 

"Well we can change that, we can speed up the ball that mom wants to do for the world to know that we found you" Demitirus stood up ready to call our parents but I stopped him. 

"No, I don't want people knowing any sooner than they have to" I replied staring at him with a small smile. " Why though?" Aria asked confused as to why I didn't want to be associated with the Ivanov name if people didn't see me as one of them. "Because I want to prove myself as a werewolf before people know that I'm an Ivanov" I replied staring at them all, they all looked confused apart from one person. 

Vivian. 

"Lil but why? You're bearing the royal tattoo on your neck" I nodded touching my neck, I'll just wear my hair down. 

"Also, you're with us all the time people are bound to know that you're an Ivanov" 

"You do pack control with us, the Alpha regards you as an Ivanov" 

I looked at Vivian and she gave me a knowing look. 

"She doesn't want people to treat her any different due to her name, and I completely respect that" Vivian looked at me and smiled a sister smile, a smile that she doesn't give a lot of people. 

"Exactly" I replied looking at everyone else. 

"Well then, operation keep Lilith's identity secret is under way"
