Y/N had been diligently taking Tokki to training sessions for several weeks, and the effort was paying off. Additionally, she had found a reliable dog daycare service for those days when her schedule became overwhelming. It was a relief for both Y/N and Tokki, as the dog was no longer cooped up alone in the dorm all day. The training and socialization had a positive impact on Tokki's behavior, and he had learned some entertaining tricks along the way.
Y/N found joy in witnessing Tokki's progress. The once overly energetic and mischievous pup had transformed into a more composed and well-behaved companion. The training sessions and interaction with other dogs at daycare helped him channel his energy in a positive way.
Y/N's life had settled back into a familiar routine, juggling her academic commitments and soccer practice with relative ease. She had developed a rhythm that allowed her to manage her time effectively. The stress she once felt was now replaced with a sense of confidence and balance.
On the social front, Yuna, with her natural charisma and extensive network of friends, had organized a gathering for Saturday. Y/N was thrilled that the event included not only her closest friends but also her cheer teammates, Minji's friends, and even some acquaintances from Yuna's wide circle of connections.
The plan was to go to Jeju City and simply enjoy their time together, indulging in whatever activities they felt like doing.
"Hey," Y/N greeted Haerin, Hanni, and Danielle as they arrived at the main gate. Her eyes scanned the group, noticing the absence of someone. Curiosity piqued, she couldn't help but inquire, "Where's Minji?"
Hanni, with a slightly disappointed expression, responded, "She won't be joining us today. She's decided to dedicate her time to helping some students."
Y/N's mood took a sudden dip, and an unsettling feeling washed over her. It had become more frequent lately, and she couldn't shake off the unease it brought. She despised feeling down, especially when it seemed to revolve around her interactions with Minji or the lack of them.
There were instances when Y/N would eagerly invite Minji to join her in various activities, only to be met with the disappointment of Minji's unavailability, since she was a very busy person. The sense of longing and dependency that followed left Y/N feeling vulnerable and needy—emotions she detested. Needing someone's companionship was something she had always struggled with, as it had never ended well.
She wanted to believe that she was independent and capable of handling her own emotions without relying on others. It seemed irrational to her that she could be experiencing such a need for Minji. After all, she wasn't supposed to need anyone, right?
Fuck that, she was getting too much on her feelings. She didn't need Minji or anyone. Feelings off is the best way. She reminded herself.
"Let's go! The bus is coming." She heard Jennifer calling to them.
When they boarded the bus, Y/N found a seat next to Wonyoung and couldn't help but give her a mischievous smirk. The anticipation of their adventure filled the air, and Y/N knew that Wonyoung was the perfect partner in crime.
"So, how are we going to cause trouble this time?" Y/N playfully teased, raising an eyebrow.
Wonyoung returned the smirk, her eyes glimmering with excitement. "Why don't we shake things up a bit? Instead of going to the city, let's head to my house," she suggested, capturing everyone's attention. "My parents aren't home, and I have a fantastic pool we can enjoy."
The idea was met with enthusiastic nods and cheers from their friends.
"So, truly a princess, huh?" Y/N playfully teased Wonyoung as they arrived at her house. The sight before them was nothing short of breathtaking. Wonyoung's house exuded an air of elegance, resembling a magnificent palace.
