"Hi," Minji greeted when she saw Y/N entering the classroom.
"Oh, hey. I thought no one else would be here this early," Y/N said, taken aback.
"I'm surprised you are," Minji joked with a smirk on her face.
Y/N just smiled slightly before making her way to the back of the classroom.
"Okay, you know what? This is too much," Minji stood up and followed the girl. "Why are you avoiding me?"
"I'm not," the teenager defended herself.
"Yes, you are. And I'm tired of it," Minji said firmly.Y/N looked at Minji, unsure of what to do or say."Is this about me confessing to you?" Minji slowly approached the girl and sat next to her. "Do you not feel the same?"
Y/N blinked, her mind racing as it did every time she thought about the subject.
"I..."After a minute of silence, Minji understood and with a heavy heart, she stood up."It's okay, you don't... I just thought... nothing," Minji looked away, feeling ashamed because of the rejection but mostly feeling sad and hurt. "I understand. You don't need to feel like you have to avoid me just because you don't feel the same."
"Minji," Y/N spoke but was interrupted by a few students entering the room.
Minji gave her a small smile and walked out of the room.
"Hey, you didn't wait for us this morning," Hussey greeted while taking a seat next to the American.
"Yeah, we went to your room but you weren't there," Jennifer added.
"Just like you these past few days," Y/N quietly snapped.
"What?" Hussey asked, taken aback.Y/N didn't reply. Instead, she took out her AirPods, played some music, and lay down on top of her desk.
Her friends exchanged concerned glances and quickly pulled out their phones to text each other.
After the bell signaling the end of the second break rang, Y/N walked out of the room with her two friends following closely behind. She was walking slowly when someone bumped into her shoulder, and she was ready to unleash her frustration on the person until she looked up and saw Hanni glaring at her.
"What was that about?" Yuna questioned, observing the vice president as she walked away.
"Is this about you avoiding Minji?" Jennifer wondered.
"I'm not avoiding her," Y/N replied, growing increasingly annoyed.
"We've noticed that you have been," Yuna stated firmly. "We know you, Y/N."
"Oh, you think you know me?"
"Yes, we do. We're your friends, girl," Jennifer asserted.
"Is that so?"
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Yuna exploded, unable to contain her frustration.
"You know what? We're skipping class, and we're going to have a serious talk," Jennifer declared, grabbing both her friends' arms and forcefully dragging them to her room.
The walk to Jennifer's room was a short one, but it felt like an eternity to Y/N, who couldn't help but voice her complaints along the way. She grumbled about how she didn't want to have a serious talk, how she was tired of everyone assuming things, and how she just wanted some peace and quiet.
