Y/N was over the moon, feeling happier than she had ever felt. She had spent an entire day with her dad, reconnecting and building bridges that had long been neglected.
On Monday, just before his flight back home, they had lunch with Minji since Howard had expressed a desire to meet the girl who had captured his daughter's heart. The lunch went wonderfully, with Howard warmly engaging with Minji.
Knowing that Tokki was in a place where he didn't have to hide also lifted a significant weight off her shoulders. The relief of her dog being safe and free allowed Y/N to not feel jumpy all the time.
Everything seemed to be going well at school, too. Her grades were improving, and she was more engaged in her classes. And soccer was going great also.
For the first time in a long while, Y/N felt like all the pieces of her life were falling into place. She was surrounded by people who cared about her, engaged in activities she loved, and finally, starting to see a brighter future ahead.
There was only one thing missing, but she had spent all week working on it.
On Friday, Minji was woken up with small, soft kisses on her cheeks, making her smile even before opening her eyes. "Good morning," Y/N whispered, her voice gentle and affectionate.
When Minji finally opened her eyes, they stayed lying in bed, gazing at each other for a while. The morning light streamed through the curtains, casting a warm glow over them. Minji reached up to brush a strand of hair from Y/N's face, her heart swelling with love for the girl beside her.
"What time is it?" Minji eventually asked, her voice still thick with sleep.
"It's 9," Y/N replied nonchalantly.
Minji's eyes widened as she sat up quickly. "We have classes to attend!"
Y/N grabbed her arm, gently pulling her back down onto the bed. "Please skip school with me today," she pleaded, her eyes shining with mischief.
Minji hesitated, her sense of responsibility warring with her desire to stay in bed with Y/N. "I can't just skip classes, Y/N. We have important lectures and assignments."
Y/N leaned in, peppering her face with more kisses, her lips soft and persuasive. "Just this once," she murmured between kisses. "I promise it will be the only time."
Minji tried to resist but found herself melting under Y/N's touch and persuasive words. "Alright," she finally agreed, a small smile playing on her lips. "But just this once, and you have to promise we won't make it a habit."
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise. "Wait, did you really just say yes?" she asked, her voice filled with astonishment.
Minji nodded, laughing at Y/N's reaction.
"Yes! This is going to be amazing!" Y/N celebrated, pumping her fist in the air before pulling Minji into a tight hug. "I promise," Y/N said, her eyes twinkling with excitement. She pulled Minji back into bed, wrapping her arms around her tightly.
Minji settled back into Y/N's embrace, her heart fluttering with anticipation. "What do you have planned for today?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.
Y/N smiled mischievously. "First, we're going to order something delicious and have breakfast in bed. How does that sound?"
Minji's eyes lit up with excitement. "That sounds perfect."
Y/N leaned over to grab her phone from the nightstand. "Also, make sure to text Hanni and let her know you won't be going to class today. Otherwise, she'll tear your door down thinking something happened to you."
