I gripped onto the arm rests beside me as the plane shook, we began to land five minutes ago but it felt like five hours. I never did well with adrenaline or the thrill of danger and I had both running through my veins. I felt a light hand caress my now white knuckles. I open my eyes to see Gwen eyeing me softly, it was her stupid idea to spend summer in Tokyo of all places. Finally the plane hit the ground and sped through the runway, I could feel my head being pressed so hard into my seat as we hurdled forward. Finally we were stopped and everyone raced up and grabbed their luggage, pushing and shoving past us. I still had my eyes squeezed shut during the commotion.
I took a deep breath and collected myself. I wobbled as I stood up. I grabbed our carryons and we made our way through the terminal.
Our baggage's came out pretty quick and before I knew it we were in the bustling land of Tokyo. Gwen waved down a cab and we hurdled in.
I gazed out the window watching the city in action I couldn't keep my focus on just one thing it was overwhelming but so exciting. We finally arrived at a small four plex building. I turned to Gwen and raised an eyebrow.
"Surprise" she smiled nervously.
I wanted to spend summer in Italy or Sweden so when Gwen finally convinced me to go to Japan I left it up to her to book arrangements for us. I never understood why she was so persistent on Tokyo but it didn't look like a horrible experience so I agreed.
We made our way into the building, the floors were made of old mahogany wood and was already furnished, I was worried we'd have to buy furniture so that problem disappeared. There were two bedrooms, one bathroom, a small kitchenette that looked over the living area. The couch was black velvet. I inspected it for any... any unwanted things. Clean. Phew.
I threw my bags into my room and sprawled on my bed. It felt good to finally be out of the sky and laying down. I was wearing super baggy sweats and a giant t shirt with my hair tossed in a knotted bun. Gwen wore a juicy sweat set and her hair was already styled.
"Get up Tully we're going out" gwen beamed as she chucked clothes on my head.
"What" I groaned
"I'm taking you to the underground races, there huge here let's go"
"I'm staying here" I mumbled under the fabrics.
Gwen grabbed my arm and yanked me up from bed. I flinched as she almost ripped my arm off. I was normally a home body and the whole point of a full summer vacation was to become more extroverted. I never wanted to explore or leave my house really so I knew if I didn't attempt to go out tonight there was no reason for travelling all this way.
I put on a pair of dark washed Levi's skinny jeans and a dark red tank top. I paired it with my converse and a black leather jacket over.
Gwen straightened my hair while I made my face more presentable. I've been slowly learning how to do makeup and enhance my features but I somehow always managed to look like a clown, I was very careful this time and did something more natural as we were on a time crunch.
"Perfect" gwen sighed at me "so beautiful, now let's go, cabs already here"
I blushed and grabbed my bag and we headed off.

It was a little darker outside now so the city lights were more prominent. It was a different type of beautiful. Futuristic and loud it felt like I was in a movie. The cab dropped us off outside of a big cement parking garage. And ushered us to get out.
I felt a little uneasy, it didn't look like the nicest area but I trusted Gwen wouldn't put me in any bad situations.. right?
We held hands and made our way to a stair case and proceeded downwards, I heard the commotion of people cheering and loud cars speeding by. I felt butterflies grow in my stomach and decided to just endure the feeling.
