I spent the rest of my time catering to my foot to distract myself from the eagerness of one of the girls showing up. I waited patiently for the first couple hours but by hour three I began to grow irritated.

I paced around the small dungeon, the metal cuff clanging behind me as I limped around. Finally I heard a distant door screech open and high heels smacking against the ground.

Gwen had turned the corner with a black bag in her hand, she unlocked the gate and tossed the bag to me before turning on her heels to leave again.

"Wait Gwen" I pleaded

She sighed and turned towards me.

"What" her voice filled with attitude.

"Don't I get a shower?"

"Uhm.. there's wipes in there. Tom didn't want you to leave until he and bill came to pick us up" she folded her arms raising an eyebrow to me.

"Please, I legit stink" I begged

"Ya I know I could smell you the second I opened the door"

We both looked at each other before a small grin formed on both our faces, we both laughed a bit before she sighed.

"I would like to let you have a shower but I don't have the key to.." her eyes trailing down my body to my feet "to that"

I huffed, Tom was smart. He knew I'd find a way to convince Gwen to let me out. She'd be dumb enough to do it too.

"I'll bring you some water, soap and a bucket and maybe that will help" she smiled to me a bit and left out the gate.. leaving it open.

I waited till I heard the door to the house close and slowly made my way to the gate. The metal chain gave me a good six to seven feet, just enough to peak outside the room.

There were two other cells in the concrete hallway similar to mine. It was a eerie feeling knowing this guy had a whole medieval dungeon in his house. I heard the door open and ran back into my room and waited patiently.

Gwen came in with a bucket and a bar of soap and cloth. She plopped the bucket on the table and handed me the cloth and soap gently

"How's your foot?" She muttered

"Do you actually care?" I snapped back

"Yes.. Tallulah we've been friends for ten years. I'll always care about you" her tone was completely different. I looked up at her, her blue eyes sparkled as she talked.

"Why would you do this to me. How could you?"

"I.. I don't know. I didn't want to come alone. I didn't know how dangerous they were Tul. Not until after I got here. I'm sorry but I have to get back now" she shot me a shy smile and left me there.alone again.

I felt my eyes tear a bit at her words, a part of me wanted to believe she didn't have bad intentions but in the whole ten years we've been friends I never thought she'd put me in a situation like this.

I began to strip naked and wash myself with the soap and water, I worked fast to just get it done and over with. I wrapped myself in the soft grey towel Gwen had given me and began to dig in the black bag.

Inside was fresh underwear, makeup, a hair brush and an outfit. I grabbed the compact powder that had a little mirror in it and began to inspect my face.

My eyelids were puffy and red and a purple haze underlined my eyes. My lips were red and dry and my skin was paler than usual. I looked almost dead.

I pressed the powder to my skin and applied some blush, mascara and lipstick. I looked okay. Still rough but pretty enough to bring a small smile to my face.
