Birthday party

~Everything is fine on your birthday ~

I sang along to maroon 5's she will be loved while stirring pancake mix.
"Cheating on my band." My husband asked while walking into the kitchen.
I looked at him and rolled my eyes.
"Real funny, Aws." I laughed.

He wrapped his arms around me.
He held onto me in a hug from behind.
He kissed my cheek.
"You're in a good mood." I stated poring the batter onto the skillet.
"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked.
" I don't know. Can you wake up our sleeping beauty?" I asked flipping the batter.

He let go of me.
"Yeah, what time is your dad coming again?" He asked.
"Around five, but he'll probably be here before the party starts. What about your sister and parents?" I asked moving the pancakes to a plate.

"I'll have to call and ask but they will be here." He said before walking out of the kitchen to get Aurora.

Aurora turns 5 today.
Time is going by so fast.
I couldn't be happier though.
Awsten walked back into the kitchen holding our sleepy child in his arms.
She rubbed her eyes.

"Good morning sunshine." I smiled.
My dad calls me that.
The nickname just stuck with Aurora.

She yawned.
"Morning mommy." She said as Awsten sat her down at the table.
"Happy birthday." I said putting a plate of cut up pancakes next to her.
She also had strawberries with marshmallow fluff next to it.

"Can we see grandpa alex today?" She asked.
I picked up a plate of pancakes and brought it to Awsten.
"Yes, he'll be here today. I don't know if he will bring uncle Jack, rian and Zack though." I said sitting across from Awsten and Aurora .

"Aunt Gracie will be here with grandma Ginny." Awsten said.
Aurora smiled widely, her green eyes almost shutting.
"Once you finish eating we will do your hair." I smiled.
"I want colorful hair like daddy." She said.
"I'll see what I can do.." I laughed.

I brushed Aurora's long brunette hair back into two pigtails. With two red hair extensions.

We heard a knock at the door.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"Me." A voice said.
Aurora got excited and ran to the door.
Aurora opened the door.
"Grandpa!!" She yelled excitedly hugging him.
"Hi princess." He said hugging her.
Aurora giggled.
"Hi dad." I said walking up to the two.
"Hi sunshine ."
"Where's Awsten? He didn't follow you?" I asked.

"Awsten is downstairs setting everything up." My dad said.
I nodded.
"Do you see my hair?" Aurora said excitedly.
My dad looked at her and smiled.
"You're hair looks amazing. You know, your mom-" my dad said right before I cut him off

"Nope let's not-" I said walking out of the room.
I walked to the kitchen to see Awsten cooking.
"She's gonna be so happy." I said
"I hope so. I can't believe she's 5." He said.
" I know. Times going by fast." I stated.
"It is." He said just as the door bell rang.

I opened the door to see Gracie and Ginny.
"Hi!" I smiled letting her in.
"Hi y/n and Awsten." Gracie said walking in before I shut the door.
"Where's Aurora?" Gracie asked.
"Upstairs with Alex." Awsten said.

"We are finishing up and we will wait for everyone to arrive." I said.

Aurora excitedly ran up to Awsten.
"Daddy do you see my hair?" She smiled widely.
Awsten picked her up.
"It looks amazing, I guess we are twins now." He said smiling.
Aurora yelled yay and Awsten laughed.

Gracie sat in front of Aurora.
Aurora was brushing her hair.
"I think she got tired of me." My dad said walking over to me and Awsten.
"No she does this, sometimes she brushes Ottos hair." Awsten laughed.
"That is true." I smiled.

A few minutes pased and everyone was here.
Rian, Jack and Zack all came a little late because they had to pick up a gift for Aurora.
Otto, Grace, Jawn and Geoff came on time.
As well as a few of auroras friends .
Soon the party came to an end and everyone left.

Aurora sat down on the couch talking to Alex.
soon Aurora fell asleep on the couch.
"Y/n" my dad whispered yelled-
I smiled to see a sleeping aurora curled up next to my dad.
My dad stood up and hugged me goodbye.
I laid a blanket over her and put a pillow under her head.
"I think she had a good time." Awsten said standing next to me.
"I think so too, you're such a good dad aws." I smiled.
He pecked my lips and smiled.
"And you're such a good mom." He smiled.
"I wish she could stay this young forever." I said.
Awsten wrapped his arm around me.
"She can't. But you know. We could always have another." He said.

"Maybe." I said laughing.
"What would you wanna name her?" I asked.
"Her?" He raised an eye brow at me.
"Just an assumption." I smiled.
"Well if it's a girl.. Sage. But a boy I don't know, something cool though." He shrugged.
"I like Sage. But for a boy what about hunter?" I asked.
"Sure. Whatever makes you happy." He said quickly kissing my cheek.
