Aurora and star

♡ my taste in music is your face. ♡

"Mommy?" My four year old said.
"Yes sunshine?" I asked.
"Can we get a kitty please. I want a friend." Aurora said making puppy dog eyes.
"I don't mind but go ask daddy." I replied.
"Oki" she said.
She excitedly ran down the hallway to Awstens office where he was writing I'm assuming.

I stood up and decided to follow her.

Aurora opened the door.
I walked into the room and saw her sitting on Awstens lap laughing.
Awsten was tickling her.
I just smiled.

"Daddy" Aurora said in between laughing.
"Yeah kiddo?" He asked moving the pens and paper out of the way.
"Mommy already saids yes, but she said to ask you." Our daughter said skipping over some words.
Awsten looked up at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Okay, what is it?" Awsten asked.
"Can we get a kitty?" She asked.
Awsten smiled but looked at me.
I nodded yes.

"Sure I don't see why not."
(Yes ik about jet but work with me)
"Yay! Can we go get one now?" Aurora says excitedly hoping off of Awstens lap.

"Sunshine I think your dad needs to finish work up right now." I stated looking at my daughter.
"No it's fine work can wait. My family comes first." Awsten said standing up.
"Let me grab my keys and wallet."

"Let's go brush your wild hair." I said picking up Aurora.
We walked into her room.
She sat down at her baby vanity.
"How do you want your hair?" I asked.
"Braids." She replied.

I brushed her brunette hair into two different sections then carful put a hair tie into the sections.
"Can I change my shirt" she asked me.

"Sure if you want too." I replied knowing damn well I'd have a lot of laundry to do later anyways.

She put on the all time low shirt my dad gifted her.
"You guys ready?" Awsten asked walking into the room.
Aurora ran in front of awsten and lifted her arms up.
"You want me to carry you?" He asked.

"Yes." She said.
Awsten picked her up.
"Only princess treatment for Aurora." Awsten laughed.

I opened the passenger door of our car and sat down.
Awsten was buckling Aurora in.

"Any song requests?" Awsten asked once he was in the drivers seat.
"Grandpas song with the cuss words." Aurora said.
Me and awsten looked at each other and laughed.
"Which one sunshine?" I asked.
"The one with monsters." She said.

Awsten quickly played monsters by all time low and we were on our way.
Aurora sang a bit of the song. I recorded her and sent it to my dad.

We pulled into a pet world.
"You exited?" I asked once we parked.
"Yes!" She practically shouted.
Awsten smiled widely.

We unbuckled Aurora.
Aurora grabbed awstens hand.
The two walked in front of me.
I snapped a photo of the two.

We walked into the building.
A worker came up to us.
"Hi how can I help you?" The worker asked us.
"Kitty!" Aurora exclaimed.

I just laughed.
The worker laughed and told us to follow him.

We walked past a few cats until Aurora stopped in front of one.
It was brown and black cat.

"Is that the one you want?" The worker asked her.
"Yes can I play with her?" Aurora asked.
The worker said yes.

They unlocked the cage.
The cat ran right up to Aurora and rubbed against her leg.

Aurora giggled.
"Silly kitty." She said.
Me and awsten looked at each other knowing this one we were leaving with.
"We will take this one please." Awsten.
"Star? Okay we will get her things." The worker said.

Aurora sat on the ground petting star.

We got back to the apartment.
"Are we even allowed to have cats?" I asked my husband.
"No idea but I don't care. It makes her happy." He said.
I put my head on his shoulder.
"It does, doesn't it?" I said watching my daughter  play with her new best friend.
