CHAPTER 26

NAGISING AKO DAHIL sa liwanag na tumama sa aking mukha. Hindi na bago sa akin 'yon. Napangiti ako nang marinig ang pagtunog ng shutter ng cellphone ko.

"Mommy, you look pretty when you sleep, good morning." I opened my eyes and saw Izzy holding my phone. There was a flash every time he took a picture of me.

"Good morning, baby, how's your sleep?" I asked in a sleep voice.

"Amazing. I have a daddy now, I won't be jealous to other family." She said and giggles. Napangiti ako nang makita ang malawak na ngiti sa labi ni Izzy. As long as my daughter is happy I won't go against to what's makes her happy.

"Give me a hug, baby," I extend my arms at her. I groan when her body landed on top of me. Ang bigat na talaga ni Izzy.

"I love you, baby."

"I love you too, mommy, and daddy too—oh wait! I will go to him. I haven't greet him yet." Mabilis na umalis sa ibabaw ko si Izzy at tumakbo palabas sa kwarto.

Napasimangot naman ako. Mukhang may kaagaw na ako sa atensyon ng anak ko.

I lazily got up and went to the shower. I take a bath and wear a comfortable outfit.

Pagtapos kong mag-ayos ng sarili ay lumabas na rin ako. I heard Izzy giggles on the room near ours. Bahagyang nakabukas ang pinto kaya malaya akong nakasilip sa loob.

My heart melted when I saw Levi tickling Izzy. He looks happy. Ganito rin ba siya sa anak niya sa kabilang babae?

I cleared my throat to get their attention. Levi stopped for a second and look at my body.

"Morning," nahihiya kong wika. Naalala ko nanaman ang nangyari sa amin kagabi, ramdam ko ang pag-init ng aking pisngi. I scratch the back of my neck and slid my hands on the pocket of my jeans. "Ahm, Levi, can I ask you a favor?" Nahihiya kong wika.

Umayos ito sa pagkaka-upo sa malapad niyang kama. Izzy was fast to sit on his lap.

"What is it?"

"Can you look for Izzy? I will check my store, hindi kasi ako nakapasok ng ilang araw baka hinahanap na ako ni Cath." The name seemed a lemon on my tongue, gusto kong mapangiwi. I really don't know what she's up to, but I know it's danger.

He nodded. "Yes. We'll stay here until you're home." Nakangiti niyang wika.

Lumapit ako sa pwesto nila at yumuko. "Hey, baby, I will leave you here okay? I will check our store then I'll be back."

"Okay, take care mommy, I love you." I kissed her forehead.

"I love you, too. Behave, okay?"

She grins at me and nod her head. "How about daddy? Kiss him, I saw couples on the beach kissing—just like how the triplets kissed Mama Eve." She uttered innocently. Namilog ang mata ko dahil sa sinabi niya.

My eyes drop on Levi. His eyebrows almost touched. Katulad ko ay may bahid din ng gulat ang mukha niya.

"Baby, where did you learn that?" I cupped Izzy's face while she's sitting on Levi's lap.

She pout her red heart-shaped lips. "I just saw them a couple times kissing, and Caelus taught me it was a kiss and it's for couples only, aren't you two couple?" Nilingon niya kaming dalawa ni Levi at naglipat-lipat ng tingin sa amin.

"Ah," hindi ko alam kung ano ang isasagot ko kay Izzy. Napalunok na lang ako ng aking laway. I will definitely talk to Eve about this concern. "I have to go baby, stay with him okay? Don't go anywhere." I kissed her forehead again.

I say my goodbye before Izzy say a word again.

I dialed Eve's number, after a few rings she picked up the phone.
