Othmane Anas Mansion
Saturday,
On this particular day, Malika and Halima were lounging by the pool, soaking up the sun and sipping on ice-cold lemonade. They were laughing and chatting, enjoying each other's company.
"Can you believe how hot it is today?" Halima exclaimed, fanning herself with a magazine.
"I know, right? I feel like I'm melting," Malika replied, taking a sip of her drink.
The two girls continued to chat and catch up on each other's lives, but soon enough, their conversation changed when Halima cleared her throat and looked at her younger sister.
"So...when are you going to tell me about that..Adam guy?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.
Malika almost chocked on her drink. "W-who?"
"You think I wouldn't notice how your face reddens the first time you saw him?" Halima says like the most obvious thing on earth.
"I have nothing to say to you, besides his from a different race and most importantly not our religion." Malika protested.
Halima gave her a knowing look before rolling her eyes. "I know you will say that, but I can tell you're falling for him."
Her face fell at what she said. "Halima please let's drop this..." She sigh before she continue.
"Okay I was kind of...uhm..something is pulling me toward him but I will assure you is just a mare crush..I will get over it in some days."
Halima was silent for a while then she shrugged.
"Look, am just saying you should be careful around this guy. They are rumors going around that he's trouble."
"What kind of trouble?" Malika asked, intrigued despite herself denying her feelings.
"I don't know, just that he's bad news. And you know how gossip spreads like wildfire in our school," Halima replied.
Malika nodded thoughtfully. She knew she should listen to her sisters warning, but there was a part of her that was curious about this guy. She had always been drawn to danger and excitement, even if it meant getting into trouble.
"I'll be careful," she promised, though she wasn't sure if she could keep that promise.
The rest of the day passed in a blur of sun, laughter, and good times. Malika and Halima were inseparable, and nothing could come between them. But as the sun began to set and the sky turned orange and pink, Malika couldn't shake off the feeling that something was about to change. She didn't know what it was, but she had a sense that her life was about to take a dark turn.

"Mom"
"Yes sweety?" Mrs Othmane turn to her daughter smiling.
"Are we expecting visitors this night?" Malika asked looking at the maids putting on additional plates and spoons.
"Yeah! Your father's business partner is coming with his family. You remember his eldest son Omar right?" Her mother asked feeling excited.
Of course she remember!!
His the most annoying guy she had ever meet and she doesn't know why her family is trying to join them together.
Before she say anything, a maid rushed to them and announced there arrival.
"Go! Go upstairs Malika and put on something better."
Just perfect!!
She turn to go to her room. Her anger flaring. She doesn't even know Why 'her' not Halima since she's the eldest...
Malika tried her best to avoid Omar during the visit, but he seemed to always be around. Every time she turned a corner, he was there with a smile and a friendly greeting. She couldn't shake the feeling that he was watching her, waiting for his chance to talk.
As the family gathered for dinner, Malika found herself seated next to Omar because when she came all the seats has been occupied. She tried to focus on the conversation around her, but she couldn't help but feel his eyes on her. She could feel the heat of his body next to hers, and it made her skin crawl.
As the night passed, Malika found herself becoming more and more uncomfortable around Omar. She didn't like the way he looked at her, as if he was sizing her up. She didn't like the way he touched her arm or leaned in too close when they talked. And most importantly she doesn't know why non of them have noticed!!!!
Omar kept making small talk with Malika, asking her about her hobbies and interests. Malika gave short, polite answers, hoping that he would get the hint and leave her alone. But he persisted, asking more and more personal questions.
Finally, Malika had had enough. She put down her fork and looked directly at Omar. "Why are you so interested in me?" she asked, her voice firm.
Omar's smile faltered and everyone's attention is on them now. She saw a glare from her mom for a moment before she smiles.
"Forgive her behaviour, Malika could be...." Fatima tried to choose the right word for her daughter but couldn't.
"-No worries." Omar said standing up before looking back at her.
"Malika show me the art gallery..I have never been there."
"Okay." Malika follow suit, she made her way outside the dinning room feeling embarrassed.
Immediately they turn to a hallway he started talking. "You know, you're not like the other girls I've met. You have a fire in you that I find intriguing."
Malika felt a surge of anger rise up in her. She didn't want to be seen as some kind of cruel person but she's really loosing it. She doesn't want anyone to force her to marry him. She is a person, with her own thoughts and feelings.
"I'm not interested in you," she said, her voice cold. "I don't want your attention."
Omar's face darkened for a moment, but then he smiled again. "Well, that's too bad," he said lightly. "Because I'm not going to give up that easily."
Malika felt a chill run down her spine. She didn't like the way Omar was looking at her, as if he had some kind of power over her. She knew that she needed to get away from him, but she didn't know how.
As the dinner ended and the guests prepared to leave, Omar approached Malika once again. "I'll see you soon," he said with a wink, before turning to leave.
Malika watched him go, her heart pounding in her chest. She knew that she needed to find a way to keep him away from her, but she didn't know how. She only knew that she didn't want anything to do with him.
