Halima went home, her heart heavy with worry about her sister. As soon as she entered the west wing of the house, she saw Malika sitting on the couch with a defiant look on her face.

"Hey, sis," Halima said softly, trying to keep her voice calm.

"What do you want? Are you hear to continue 'lecturing me'?" Malika snapped.

"I just wanted to talk to you about what I just saw earlier." Halima said, sitting down next to her sister.

"I don't have anything to say to you," Malika replied coldly, crossing her arms over her chest.

Halima took a deep breath and tried to keep her composure. "Malika, I'm just worried about you. I saw you with Adam and I don't know what's going on between you two."

"It's none of your business," Malika spat.

"But it is my business when it comes to your safety and well-being," Halima said firmly. "I just want to make sure you're making the right decisions."

Fuck it!

"I don't need your approval or permission for anything," Malika said, standing up and glaring at her sister.

Halima felt tears prick at her eyes. "I just want to help you, Malika. I love you and I don't want to see you get hurt."

"I don't need your help or your love," Malika said, her voice rising. "I can take care of myself!!"

Halima stood up as well, feeling frustrated and helpless. "I'm your elder sister! I just don't understand why you're being so aggressive. What's going on with you!?"

Malika laughed bitterly. "You wouldn't understand. You're the perfect daughter, remember? Your life is perfect."

Halima felt a pang of hurt at her sister's words. "That's not true. I have my own struggles and challenges too."

"Whatever. Just leave me alone for once in your life! I don't want to talk about this anymore!"

Halima watched as her sister stormed off to her room, feeling a sense of sadness and helplessness wash over her. She didn't know what to do or say to make things better.

This is the first time in there lifes that they have ever fought and it so painful that she let out a sob. She turn to leave the place when she caught her mother standing by the stairs.

Fatima watched as Halima wiped away a tear and tried to compose herself. "What is going on?"

Halima forced a smile. "Nothing, Mama. I just had a long day at school."

Fatima didn't have a slight of convinced. "Are you sure that's all? It looked like something was bothering the two of you."

Halima hesitated for a moment before deciding to lie again. "Well, Malika and I had a little argument. But it's nothing serious."

Fatima raised an eyebrow. "What was the argument about?"

Halima shifted uncomfortably. "Just some silly disagreement. We'll work it out."

Fatima will never buy the lie and she knew her daughters well enough to know when something was wrong. She knows that in just a little time whatever they're hiding she will soon finds out.

"Alright then," Fatima said, still looking concerned. "Just remember that I'm always here if you need someone to talk to."

Halima nodded gratefully. "Thank you, Mama. I appreciate it."

As she walked away, Fatima couldn't shake off the feeling that something was amiss between her daughters. She decided to keep a closer eye on them.

Meanwhile, Halima went to her room and tried to process everything that had happened. She felt guilty for lying to her mother, but she didn't want to cause any more trouble in the family. She also felt helpless and frustrated about the fight with Malika.

She knew she needed to find a way to mend their relationship and help her sister through whatever was going on in her life. But she didn't know how to do it without making things worse.

As she lay in bed that night, Halima made a silent promise to herself to be there for her sister no matter what. She just hoped that Malika would let her in and allow her to help.

Or the worst will happened...
