She stepped out of the car, Malika breathed a sigh of relief. She had made it out of the party without anyone noticing. The security didn't suspect anything but she knew that the hard part was still ahead of her - getting back into her room without being caught.
Malika walked quickly through the back door because the front door is installed. It is usually locked at night, she won't take the risk of opening it. She walks slowly trying to stay in the shadows as she made her way to the west wing were her room is situated.
As she approached the room, Malika noticed that one of the rooms in the hallway is open. It was risky, but it was her only chance.
With a deep breath, Malika rushed up and passed the room. It was her younger brothers playing room and she doesn't know why the door is opened.
Just as she was about to open her door, she heard footsteps coming down the hall. Malika froze, her heart racing as she realized that she was about to be caught.
Shit!
Shit!
She quickly ducked into a nearby room and closed the door. She could hear her parents' voices as they walked past, talking about something that she couldn't quite make out.
What are they doing late in the night?
Malika waited until the coast was clear before she slipped out of the room and into her room. She quickly changed into her casual clothes and hid the party dress and her bag under her bed.
As she lay in bed that night, Malika couldn't help but smile. She had done it - she had gone to Adam's party and had a some what...great time. But she knew that she couldn't do it again. The risk was just too great.

The next day,
Halima
The few days in commercial class, Halima tried to keep her distance from Muhammad. She sat as far away from him as possible and avoided making eye contact.
But as the lecture went on, Halima noticed that Muhammad kept glancing in her direction. It was as if he was trying to get her attention.
What his problem!
Halima felt a sense of unease wash over her. What did he want? Was he going to confront her about their previous encounter?
As the class ended and students began to pack up their things, Halima quickly gathered her belongings and headed towards the door.
But just as she was about to leave, Muhammad called out to her.
"Hey, Halima, can I talk to you for a minute?"
Halima hesitated for a moment before reluctantly turning around.
"What do you want?" she asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
Muhammad looked at her with a serious expression. "I wanted to apologize for my behavior during our last encounter," he said. "I know I was in the wrong, and I'm sorry for any harm that I caused you."
Wow!
She was taken aback by his words. She had never expected him to apologize.
"I appreciate your apology," she said, still unsure of what to make of the situation.
Muhammad nodded. "I also wanted to let you know that I'm not trying to make you uncomfortable or cause you any distress," he said. "I understand that our previous encounter was difficult for both of us, but I want us to be able to move past it and have a positive working relationship."
Halima considered his words for a moment before nodding slowly. "Okay," she said. "I'm willing to try and move past it too."
Muhammad smiled at her. "Great," he said. "I'm glad we could talk about this."
As Halima left the classroom, she couldn't help but feel a sense of relief. Maybe things wouldn't be so awkward between her and Muhammad.
She decided to just go home since she's done with today's lectures. Her mind is still processing the conversation she had with Muhammad. She couldn't believe he had apologized and seemed genuinely sincere about wanting to move past their previous encounter.
As she entered the grand foyer, she noticed her mother was already there, sitting in an elegant chair eating her favourite biscuit.
"Assalamu alaikum, Mom," Halima greeted her mother.
"Wa alaikum assalam, my dear," her mother replied, closing the book she's reading. "How was your day?"
Halima sat down next to her mother and took a biscuit. "It was good," she said. "I had a conversation with Muhammad, and he apologized for his behavior during our last encounter."
Halima has always been so close to there mother. And she is the exact replica of her mother and being the eldest made there bond very strong.
Her mother looked at her with interest. "That's good news," she said. "What did he say?"
Halima explained everything that had happened in class and how Muhammad had apologized and wanted to move forward in a positive way.
Her mother listened intently before nodding. "It's good that Muhammad apologized," she said. "But you should also be careful around him. Make sure that he respects your boundaries and doesn't make you uncomfortable."
Halima nodded in agreement before asking, "What do you think about him, Mom?"
Her mother took a moment to think before answering. "I don't know him well enough to form an opinion," she said. "But I trust your judgment. If you feel comfortable around him and he respects your values, then it's okay."
Halima nodded, feeling grateful for her mother's guidance and support. She knew that with her mother's help, she could navigate the challenges of college and stay true to herself.
"I have been calling your sister but I couldn't reach her."
Halima's eyes flick to her watch. "She must be in class right now. Is everything okay?"
Her mother's eyes brightens. "Omar's family are coming over."
Halima was silent for some while." Mom don't you think...Malika doesn't like him."
"Ptshh! She's just being silly, you know how naive your sister is. Omar is best for her."
Halima was just silent. She knows Malika hate Omar's present and she doesn't know why there parent are forcing him on her.
Something is definitely not..right.
