Malika's mind was clouded with desire as Adam's hands roamed over her body, it was something she has never felt before. But suddenly her senses started coming back and it hit her like a bullet in her skull. She remember the grave sin of premarital romance. She quickly pushed Adam away, her hands shaking and tears streaming down her face.
Innalillahi!
"What's wrong, Malika? Did I do something?" Adam asked, concern etched on his face.
"No, it's not you," she replied, trying to calm herself down. "It's just that...we can't do this. It's a sin."
Adam looked at her, confusion evident in his eyes. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, we can't.........before marriage. It's against my beliefs and values," Malika explained, wiping away her tears.
Adam's expression softened as he realized the gravity of the situation. "I'm sorry, I didn't know. I should have respected your beliefs."
Malika nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that she had made the right decision, even though it was difficult. And she didn't know what is happening to her and now she couldn't even looked at his eyes.
"I think we should go back to school," she said, fastening her hijab back in place.
Adam was silent for a while before he nodded in agreement and started the car, driving back in silence. Malika couldn't help but feel embarrassed and ashamed of what had almost happened between them. She knew that she needed to talk to Adam about whatever this is about...
As they reached the university, Malika turned to Adam and took a deep breath. "I need to go to class now, see you later."
"Sure." he said, looking through his phone.
Is he angry?!
"Alright." She said slamming the door of the car, wishing it will break or something. She's also angry at him because he couldn't even say anything about what happened. He couldn't explain why he did it and most importantly his playing with her heart.
No Malika, you're playing with fire. She heard her subconscious telling her.
"Malika?"
She looked at her left at the familiar voice."Halima. What are you doing here."
Halima narrow her eyes at Malika before looking at the car that just reversed and speed on.
"Why are you coming out of Adam's car?"
Malika shrugged. "We went somewhere."
"Somewhere? With him at this time of lectures?"
Malika is now getting irritated by her sister. "Yes, we're now....friends."
"Friends with him? Malika didn't I warn you about him. I told you his trouble and.......wait I even thought you guys have some grudge or something."
She roll her eyes."Halima, please this is my life. I always support you on whatever decisions you make in your life. So please I want you to stop.... Giving me this 'mother attitude' am a grown up, Halima and I can make my own decisions."
"Malika, why are telling me this? What is happening to you!"
"This is me telling you to stop peeping into my life! You know, Your life is perfect! It has always been perfect! You are the best in your faculty! You have a loving boyfriend! Our parents adores you more! Your life is so perfect! Please just stop telling me what is right or wrong for once in my life!!" Malika shouted at her and walked away brushing the tears that was streaming down her face.

Halima
For the life of her, she has never seen this side of her sister and it scares her.
It scares her so much.
"Hey, what's wrong?" She heard Muhammad's voice saying.
He had just arrived at the university when he saw Halima sitting on a bench, looking upset. He walked over to her and sat down beside her.
Halima sighed. "It's Malika. She's been acting strange lately."
"What do you mean?"
"I saw her coming out of Adam's car just now. They were together and I don't know what's going on between them and...she said something that frightens me" Halima explained, her voice shaking.
"What did she say?"
Halima was silent for a while before replying."She said am the perfect daughter, that my life is perfect. It hurt so much. It hurt so so much to hear her saying it." Her lips trembles.
Muhammad listened carefully."Look, Halima, I know you're worried about your sister, but you have to trust her. She's not a child anymore and she can make her own decisions."
"But what if she's making the wrong decisions? What if Adam is not good for her? And the worst part is his not even a Muslim. How do you think our parents will react if they found out?" Halima asked, tears streaming down her face.
"We can't control everything in life, Halima. We can only support and guide the people we love. Malika is a smart and capable person. She knows what's best for herself. And she knows what is haram and halal. Let's just pray for her and if she didn't stop mingling with him we can think of something else to do."
Halima nodded, feeling a sense of comfort from Muhammad's words. "You're right. I just want what best for her."
"I know you do," Muhammad said, wiping away her tears. "And you're a great sister for caring so much."
Halima smiled weakly, feeling grateful for Muhammad's presence in her life. "Thanks, Muhammad. You always know what to say."
"I love you Halima." he said and she felt the beat of her heart at his words.
"I love you Muhammad."
As they sat there in silence, Halima couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for Muhammad's kindness and wisdom.
