Episode 40: Inside Job: Part 3

"The Nemesis"

Lockdown and Mirage take up their fighting stances and begin circling each other.

The adversaries lock optics in a staredown match, awaiting and anticipating the very first move.

Lockdown: So, have you come escape or sightsee?

Mirage doesn't reply and silently glares.

Lockdown: Silent type, huh? Predictable, but I can change that in a jiffy.

With that, Lockdown launches his attack.

The bounty hunter sprints forward and lunges at Mirage, aiming for his face with a flying knee. The Autobot reacts and leans back, dodging the blow. Lockdown flips himself over and lands on his feet before quickly turning, hitting his adversary with a side kick. Mirage lets out a grunt of pain as he crashes into a wall with a metallic thud.

Lockdown: Tonight, this vessel's gonna echo with the sounds of your screams as I slowly, and painfully strip you of all your parts!

Lockdown attempts to throw a palm-heel strike as Mirage quickly rolls out of the way, allowing his hand to smash into the wall instead.

Mirage: And your comrades will bare witness to the aftermath left behind after I've gutted you like the animal you are!

Lockdown pulls out of the wall and turns to face Mirage.

Lockdown: Don't flatter me.

Mirage deploys his Arm Blades and lunges towards Lockdown. He proceeds to leap into the air and delivers an axe-handle.

Lockdown reaches up and catches Mirage's arm with ease. With his adversary within his grasp, Lockdown leans back and slams him into the ground. Lockdown then proceeds to flip himself onto Mirage, firmly planting his knee on his chest.

Mirage grunts, desperately trying to free himself, but to no avail. 

Lockdown mercilessly pummels Mirage's face with his right fist, hitting harder and harder with each devastating blow.

Mirage eventually catches Lockdown's fist.

Lockdown throws a jab with his Hook in retaliation, causing Mirage to move his head to the right and dodge just in time.

With the bounty hunter distracted for a moment, Mirage lifts his legs and up wraps them around Lockdown's neck before slamming him down.

Mirage then performs a front-flip and lands behind Lockdown.

Lockdown hops to his feet and turns, pulling off an impressive roundhouse kick in an attempt to sweep Mirage off his feet.

Mirage hops over Lockdown's leg and retaliates, aiming for the side of his foe's head with a hurricane kick. Lockdown leans back once again, dodging the kick.

As Mirage lands on his feet, Lockdown thrusts his legs forward, launching his adversary backwards.

Mirage tumbles several times before sliding across the ground on his face until coming to an abrupt halt.

The Autobot slowly stands to his feet, wiping away the torrent of energon running down his face. 

Lockdown: Oh, please! I trained under the grandmaster of the Cyber-Ninja Corps! I was one of his most gifted pupils before I cut ties! You never stood a chance!

Mirage: Don't get too ahead of yourself, Lockdown! This is just the warm-up!

Mirage redeploys his blades.
