Transformers Prime: Legacy (Season Two)

Episode 43: Armada: Part 3

"2:00 P.M"

At the smoldering ruins of Team Sentinel's base, Starscream stands on a pile of rubble, his arms folded behind him as Decepticon search teams meet at the rendezvous point and kneel before their master.

Starscream: Report.

Blitzwing (Icy): We've combed every square inch of their base. Not a single trace.

Starscream looks at Skywarp. 

Skywarp: My teams have sweeped the area where human reinforcements were stationed during our assault. I've personally taken the liberty of disposing of any and all survivors, thank you very much!

Starscream: Have you found the corpses of our adversaries?

Skywarp: If I did, they'd be laid in front of you, wouldn't they?

Starscream sneers before turning his attention to the Decepticons. 

Starscream: Decepticons, secure a perimeter around this entire city and search every square inch! By the end of this day, I better have five Autobot heads, and Sentinel Prime's broken body at my feet, or else some of you will find yourselves unfortunate enough to be in their predicament instead!

"YES, LORD STARSCREAM!"

Starscream: Now go! Divide and conquer!

The Decepticon armada transforms, either flying away or driving off to begin the search for their Autobot adversaries. 

"3:00 P.M"

On a long stretch of open highway, a bright red Ferrari Italia 458 cruises along as it makes its way to its destination. 

About five minutes later, the sports car comes to a stop at the edge of a steep cliff and transforms into a 21ft tall Autobot.

Mirage: "What have I done? They take me in, tend to my needs, and even treat me as one of their own, yet this is how I repay them? *Sigh* Everytime I try to do good, terrible things happen to those close to me."

Mirage sits on one knee, taking a brief moment to think to himself. 

Mirage: "But...it's not too late to change the course of history. It's not too late to make things right. I've got to do something that I haven't done in some time. I have to put my faith back in others, value their strengths and weaknesses, and most importantly, build trust."

Mirage pulls out his one and only remaining emergency beacon and activates it, sending out a signal.

Mirage: "This is my chance, I have to take it."

Suddenly, the sound of jet engines are heard in the distance as Mirage looks up to see Blitzwing and his squadron heading in his direction. The squadron breaks off and fly into opposite directions as the commander continues heading for Mirage. 

Mirage prepares for the inevitable battle ahead and takes up his fighting stance. 

Blitzwing transforms in mid-air and activates his jet boosters, propelling himself forward as he grabs Mirage by the chest and pins him against the side of the cliff.

Blitzwing (Hot): DID YOU THINK YOU COULD HIDE!!!?

Mirage: Who said anything about hiding?

Mirage thrusts his legs forward and sends Blitzwing stumbling backwards, breaking the Decepticon's grip in the process.
