"What the heck!?" Sarah yelled in Mr Gold's truck, "Now you don't want to him!? That's your son!"

"Yes I'm afraid he may be too far gone. He's a criminal, and he associates with bad people. He's been in Arkham so he's clearly unstable. I don't think Belle should be exposed to that. He could break her heart," Gold said as they drove away.

"What if he isn't!? Gold I helped people like him before. Rudy's family."

"And now look at them. Rudy killed almost his entire family and tried to kill yours just to get you back."

"...you." Sarah added. "You were evil when I met you. Even though you were kind to me. I helped you find Belle. And SCP 079. He hated humans..."

"Still do." 079 interrupted.

"Not now!" Sarah snapped at him, "come on, I will talk to him more. I can still see in his eyes he is begging for help. I felt a connection when I met him awhile back. I could've locked him up, but I didn't. Something told me to let him go."

Gold sighed, "alright, Sarah, if you want to talk to him then fine. So long as you're doing this for the right reasons. And not because of...other... reasons," he blushed slightly.

"....he is cute I will say that. He looks like a younger version of you. But no, you heard him. He has no interest in me."

"He could've just been saying that to get out of that situation with the Joker. Anyway, I'm glad you're not developing feelings for him. Still, I appreciate you talking to him."

"Of course."

That night, Sarah sat down on her bed. She then got a text from an unknown number.

"This is Jessie btw, Jackson gave me your number since he found it. Listen, I heard Mr Gold and the boss were supposed to meet up but it sounds like it canceled. Let me guess, Harleen?"

"Yeah. It was."

"Yeah. She is very controlling, but the boss doesn't see it. I can tell she also doesn't like you either. She is muttering angerily about you. Geesh you guys just seen each other and already you're number one on her hate list."

"Why am I not surprised."

Just then Joker walked in and saw Jessie on his phone. He was slightly drunk "hey buddy, who are you talking to? Tell them I said hi!"

"....Joker says hi...he's drunk. If you talk to him, take him somewhere isolated." He then came to him, "you ok, boss? You're drinking again."

"I'm both the O and the K, Jessie. Who was you texting? Your girlfriend?" he then grabbed his phone and video called Sarah's number "let's see how pretty she is" he chuckled "I'm going to tell her how much you love her and want to marry her," he laughed.

"Hello?" Sarah answered.

Joker blinked in surprise "Sarah! You're Jessie's girlfriend??"

"No! If I was, I would be arrested. I'm 23! Joker??"

"Sorry, I didn't realize. Sorry," he hiccuped, "you are pretty though. Hey why are you messaging Jessie then?"

"He texted me....about a certain someone with you. And I wanted to talk to you again...but alone and just us. Not as Joker and Phantom...or Joker and Sarah...just Sarah and...Arthur."

"Oof, you're kind of dead naming there sweetheart, but okay. What time do you get off work tomorrow?"

"...well they just call me for a few so I am guessing around 2? We can go somewhere where no will see you, and I will take you there."
