After having their meal together, Song Areum was prepared to leave. This time, she would not be persuaded to stay any longer. She didn't want to remain in the office to discuss the proposal.
"Grandfather, I hope you don't break our promise." She reminded him, picking up her purse.
Song Yun Gak smiled at his doubtful granddaughter. The promise was that she wouldn't be dragged back into the office for at least 3 days after any consultation work. She was his top consultant, and despite how good she was at running a business, he could see the toll that it took on her.
She was traumatized by something and it was something that even two years of therapy have been unable to heal. Right now, he could only hope and pray she gets over her fear or else, her abilities were truly put to waste.
Park Jimin didn't object to her leaving this time, but that didn't mean he would be staying here. During the meal, he had contacted Jihoon to attend the discussion in his place.
Song Yun Gak leaned back in his leather chair as he watched Park Jimin readily chase after his granddaughter.
Three minutes later, another man walked into the room, his face oozing with playful charm. Unlike Park Jimin whose expression was forever arctic and stony, Park Jihoon always had a mischievous smile on his face that hid all of the sins he had committed.
"Elder Song, I hope I didn't keep you waiting for long?" Park Jihoon sat down on the table but paused when he smelled something odd.
"Did you guys have scallops for lunch?" Despite his tall and slender frame, Park Jihoon was a major glutton known for his bottomless stomach. His keen sense of smell allowed him to detect his favorite food that just happened to be the only thing Park Jimin was allergic to.
"Your nose is as sharp as a bloodhound, Jihoon. But yes, we had eggs steamed with scallops as a side dish." Song Yun Gak picked up the surprised expression on the Vice President of Park Enterprise's face.
"I hope my brother didn't consume any. He's severely allergic to it." Jihoon grabbed his phone, his eyes slightly wide with panic.
Song Yun Gak leaned forward, a frown on his face. Severely allergic? But he gladly ate the dish when Areum had scooped it into his bowl!
"He consumed a spoonful of it-"
"A spoonful?! My apologies for interrupting, Elder Song, but where is my brother right now?!" Jihoon stood up from his chair as he hurriedly sent a text Seung Woo.
"He left with my granddaughter." Song Yun Gak sighed at the mess the youngsters have created.
He wasn't surprised Jihoon didn't run into Park Jimin. There were two private elevators leading to this floor, which meant Park Jimin and Areum probably took one down just as Park Jihoon took the other going up.
Why did Park Jimin eat the scallop and say it's his favorite if he was allergic to it? Was he asking for a death wish?!
"Granddaughter? I thought you didn't acknowledge any of them." Jihoon distractedly said.
Song Yun Gak tiredly leaned his cheeks on one propped up arm. "I acknowledge two of them. One of them is Song Areum, my oldest." He said, clearly getting the facts mixed up.
She wasn't his oldest granddaughter, as a matter of fact, he had two older grandchildren, but Song Yun Gak didn't bother with them. He didn't even remember their existence!
"Song Areum?" Park Jihoon lifted his head from the phone he was rapidly typing on. Why did that name sound so familiar?
He thought back to what his little nini was rambling about a few days ago.
