⭐ 05 Fangs & Claws ⭐

Some people wish upon stars. Others go out and make their wishes come true.

"Namjoon-sii, come on now. We all have equal rights in this world. Alpha, beta or omega, all ranks and genders should be able to live peacefully and freely without experiencing bullying. You have to help me, please," Jungkook sped up his steps to catch up with Namjoon.

The older alpha was in a hurry to his office. Kim Namjoon is one of the deans of the university and also part of the council of their pack, Solar.

He looked at his watch without slowing his steps. His handsome face looked somber and sour on this slightly cloudy morning.

"We can't let those brats just get away with it. If you let them go without being strict, people will stop respecting elders in our pack. And this university can lose its credibility. You don't want that to happen, do you?" Jungkook deadpanned.

It was clear from his face that the young man was irritated and upset.

"Look, Jungkook-sii. I understand how you feel," Namjoon stopped his fast steps and turned around to the younger alpha, "But we can't just give some punishment to those rascals, alright? Their parents have donated very generously over the past two years to our campus and-"

"Fuck it, Hyung! Don't you understand?! It's not just about me and my mate or my damn feelings, alright?" Jungkook half shouted in a cranky way.

And with that action, he finally succeeded in making Namjoon, who was also his older cousin, stop and stare at him for a moment, again.

Jungkook ruffled his shoulder-length black hair in frustration, "Listen up, Hyung. If no action is taken, then other incidents will continue to recur in the future. There must be punishment given for them. They need to be deterred in order to stop messing around. Things like this should not happen here!"

The younger alpha kept following Namjoon until the older one opened the door of his office. He then plopped down on his chair.

"Lucas, Felix and Jennie must be punished, Hyung. Detention, suspension, whatever. Even a fine of a sum of money if necessary. I'm gonna make it happen. I don't fucking care about their parents. I'm not gonna just sit on my lazy ass and wish upon a star. I'm gonna go out and make this shit come true. They must pay for what they have done. You know that, right?"

Jungkook's eyes flashed with anger.

He started shape-shifting. His sharp and long fangs started to come out.

One of his hands began to let out terrible and scary claws. The young alpha was indeed very, very angry right now.

"Hey, Kook. Easy now. Calm down," Namjoon said carefully. He tried to prevent Jungkook's inner wolf from raging and going out of control.

"Do I really have to remind you that bullying is a fucking criminal that violates the laws?"

"Of course it is, Kook. Just calm the fuck down, okay? We got this, brother," Namjoon loosened the tie knot he was wearing. He had been holding his breath.

Jungkook grabbed the framed photo that was on the campus dean's desk, "Imagine if what happened to my mate happened to Doctor Seokjin too-"

"Don't get my husband into this! Don't you fucking dare!" The older alpha got up as he half-shouted to him.

Now Kim Namjoon started showing his fangs. He even started to hiss like a beast to the younger.

"If those bastards are bullying your mate, are you going to just stand there as if nothing happened? I bet you won't!" Jungkook grunted.

Namjoon snorts in annoyance as he snatches a picture of himself and his mate, Doctor Kim Seokjin, back onto his desk. He took a long, deep breath to calm down his nerves.

"As the alphas, our duties and obligations are to protect those who are weaker. Alphas protect their mates and their families. We uphold the truth. We uphold justice in our community. And true blood Alpha like us certainly won't forget that responsibility, am I right?" Jungkook exclaimed sternly and firmly.

"Gosh, this kid-"

"Don't fucking 'kid' me, Joon-ie!" Jungkook's eyes flashed in furious.

"Okay! Alright, man. I know you're upset. But can't you just calm down for a moment? Can't you be patient just yet? We’ll discuss this later, I promise," the campus dean massaged his forehead which was starting to hurt because of this complicated situation.

"I can't let this shit continue to happen, okay? It's truly dangerous. Bullying is a serious thing that's ruining our younger generation. This things are-"

"I know! I know. I didn't say that we'd let those brats get away with impunity, Kook. But we have to do it with a proper strategy, don't you think? We need to handle it carefully. This matter is quite sensitive for the rest of our community. And it will definitely intersect with politics, for fucksake! You understand this way better than me."

Jungkook loses his words.

He rubbed his nose roughly and buried his face into his palms. The younger alpha took a deep breath and plopped down on the chair in front of Namjoon's desk.

"We'll not let this incident slip away for sure. But I can't let you react with such emotion like this. We need a strategy, a solid plan, not just reckless actions full of wrath and anger. Am I right? Am I fucking right, Kook?!"

Jungkook snorted again in an irked way. He turned his sullen face away from him as he rolled his doe eyes. Secretly he thought, of course, Namjoon had his point.

"Now go home, young man. You need to get some rest. You should cool your head down first. Seokjin said you haven't slept all night because you took care of your mate in the hospital," The older alpha displays a lenient demeanor.

Jungkook sighed. Indeed he was really tired. He stood up from his seat and took a glass of water and drank it down immediately.

"You must be tired, Kook. I don't want you to get sick. I promise we'll discuss this matter again right away. How about that?" Namjoon bargained.

Jungkook grumbled.

He was still riled up and he was impatient. The thought of these infernal bullies roaming freely without being held accountable for their actions made him sick.

Really, for the sake of the Moon Goddess, he couldn't bear to see Taehyung all night suffering from his pain and injuries. Those rascals need to be taught some lessons. They must be disciplined and given the punishment based on the applicable law, immediately.
