Jungkook shuddered in horror and restlessness as he gnashed his teeth. His jaw's clenching. His gut was churned from the inside, looking at the gory, disturbing, uncanny, butchery scenery.
They all looked frightening and bizarre like mutilated human body-like parts. Are they trying to create some scary, terrifying monster?
Some of these hybrid mutants of werewolves and vampires have no eyes and no nose and ears, with deformed hands and feet, with teeth that all look like fangs and canines. No fingers or too many fingers, no heads and only limbs or vice versa, or half of their bodies are hairy and furry yet the rest of it looks like a human body with slimy and scaly skin ... Everything looks scary, very strange and incredibly odd for him.
The grotesque scenery felt like a calamity that bugbear him.
Some heads with big mouths and fangs and canines are opened wide; sticking out red tongues that are too thick and long, it looks abnormal. All the stuff inside all the cylinders, liquid incubators and these damn rooms looks unnaturally bizarre and horribly unusual.
The young alpha thought the deformities was probably the result of a failed experiment last month, where mad scientists said they were "genius" in their pack that tried to clone werewolves and vampires; dogs and bats; to make them mutants hybrid. After all, they needed soldiers and armies as a form of defense and security for their species, they needed current, up-to-date and advanced secret weapons. But instead of creating a secret weapon soldier, they created a mutant monster. Because, there were mistakes and errors here and there that made the experiments fail and not go according to their plan. Apparently they need to learn that life wouldn't always go their way and they're definitely not the Highest Power.
It seems like their damned experiments were screwed up. They turned into fiascos.
Okay, the alpha understood that those so-called "mad scientists" consisted of lab managers who had at least a bachelor's degree in natural science. Some of them had at least a master's degree or Ph.D., especially in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
He understood that some of them had qualified and gained a Professional Science Master's (PSM), a graduate degree that combines advanced training in science and coursework in management, policy, and law. And the research division at their large company were managed by mostly Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or whatever.
In that regard, he shouldn't have anything to concern or worry about. His point is it's not like they've got baked beans for the brain. They ain't stupid. They are all erudite and educated people. But do they uphold their integrity and ethics in doing their jobs?
Do they act with discernment? Shouldn't they avoid law and ethical violations?
The problem is some of the cloning experiments they were doing here were a bit unethical. Chances are it was all illicit, murky and clandestine.
Jungkook never supported, rooted or promoted those bizarre experimental projects that he thought were weird. It scared the shit out of him.
He couldn't fathom it.
What they thought was innovative was considered creepy, dark, fishy, shady and suspicious by the young alpha. So to speak, it was all useless and wasted so much money. But that was just another story to be told in another time.
What mattered to him right now was only his mate's health. If it wasn't for his beloved Kim Taehyung's sakes, Jungkook actually wouldn't want to step inside the NCT Lab which was a forbidden area for most of the staff or crew in this hospital.
Yet the alpha couldn't help but take a look. He stepped forward to look further.
In the next room parted only by sheer white curtains, Jungkook peeked. On the operating table there, there was a clone who was "still alive" and apparently had the surgery and that cloned creature had to endure the nightmare of witnessing the process and couldn't do anything about it.
