"Life is a tragedy when seen in close-up, but a comedy in long-shot."
- Charlie Chaplin

"Yet now you've surpassed it all. You're so strong. How did you finally go above and beyond, Hyung? Please teach me how and show me the way. I'd love to know," Taehyung pleaded with humility.
"It takes time and a little bit of luck, I guess," Seokjin rubbed his glistening eyes as they began to water. His voice sounded soft and trembling.
"After we became poor, my parents got sick. We tried to rebuild our lives as their health declined. It was really hard for us to adjust to those difficult circumstances. My father died after a lot of failures in rebuilding his business," Seokjin licked and bit his pillowy bottom lip as he lowered his head.
"I'm so sorry..." The younger omega mutters empathically.
"He had kidney failure and had to undergo dialysis continuously at a very expensive cost. Meanwhile, we had no money. There's no medicine or any herbs and elixir could cure him. My father could not get a transplant since there was no suitable kidney donor. So he died. And a few years later, my mother followed him to the other side. She had a heart attack. And I was left alone. That's why I want to be a doctor to help and cure people. Maybe because deep inside from the bottom of my broken heart ... I wish I could do better yet I was just a kid back then. I wish I could save their lives," Seokjin told him.
"However," The doctor took a deep breath, "You can't have a rainbow without a little rain. After those hurricanes, sunny days with a thousand flowers bloom finally come. I managed to get a scholarship from the reputable university. I took medical school at the same college. With debts and loans, I continued to live. I worked so hard. I was trying my best to improve my situation. I took three jobs, it was crazy. But I need to thrive and survive, so I work hard to earn a living."
"You're unbelievably strong."
"Praising the Moon Goddess and the Divine Source for giving me strength," Seokjin sighed with a sour smile, "I couldn't do it by myself actually. I was just that young omega."
Kim Seokjin continued, "I was a shop assistant, a waitress and a librarian back then. I even took care of my landlord's toddler. It was tough and rough for me. Everything was so messy. I was so thin and skinny, it was miserable. I often wanted to give up because I felt helpless and overwhelmed. It was draining me. It was too much to handle. I was just an omega. I wasn't as strong as a beta or an alpha. But one time, when I wanted to give up and felt like I couldn't do it anymore, I saw a customer at the restaurant where I worked. The beta was wearing a plain white T-shirt that said 'This too shall pass'," The doctor chuckled.
Seokjin's telling him his story as Taehyung paid him attention.
"This may sound silly. But at that moment, I thought that was a message from the universe for me. 'This too shall pass.' The hard times I was facing would come to an end. It will pass eventually. It can't be stormy all the time, right? Autumn and winter will be gone soon. Spring and summer are going to come and I will be okay. I was struggling so much but those four words worked like magic for me; 'This too shall pass and I'll be able to dance again in the end'."
"I see," Tae listened to him carefully.
"My path was not easy, Tae, I must say. But I think all of those experiences eventually shaped me into the person I am today. It transformed me. And that's how life led me to my alpha, Namjoon, Jungkook's older cousin who is now my husband."
"You've found love in a hopeless place and unfavorable circumstances," Taehyung was moved and touched by Seokjin's past. There's a lump in his throat right now.
