Several hours have passed since Doctor Seokjin checked Taehyung who was fast asleep. The night is still young and Jungkook will stay up late to look after his sleeping mate.

And while the sleeping beauty omega was safe and sound in a slumberland, Jungkook thought maybe he could use some midnight snacks to increase his energy, to keep him from falling asleep. So, he gave himself some needed refreshments.

The young alpha took a sip of hot black coffee he just bought. And now, as he's biting burgers and munching some french fries, the alpha lets his mind drift away. The conversation between him and Seokjin still remains in Jungkook's brain.

He's been thinking. A lot. There was a war in his head.

Seokjin was right.

The raven-head realizes that some things cannot be solved with violence, especially if the opponent is much stronger than him. Violence is obviously not the answer. And sometimes he must be willing to give in with all humility.

And no, it's not because he is too cowardly or hypocritical. He just came to the conclusion that some battles are actually not worth his effort nor his energy at all. That's why he has to choose his battle wisely.

He hated to admit it, but he realized that he was too young and lacked experience. Sometimes life throws him difficult situations that require him to lower his ego and let his idealism loosen up a bit.

Like it or not, he had to compromise and negotiate with other people for the sake of the highest good of everyone. There are sacrifices that must be made to achieve success. It's like, if he wants to make an omelet, then he has to be willing to break the eggs, right?

Besides, a smooth sea never made a skilled sailor after all. Whether he likes it or not, the young alpha must be willing to adapt and "adjust the sail" for the sake of his pack, for the safety of his community, for the best outcome and the greatest good.

The young-blood alpha became more aware that he cannot be rash or careless in his actions, especially if it involves too many people. He must face the stumbling blocks and difficult situations with common sense without wrath or such negative emotions that could cloud his mind. Instead of following his anger and getting himself in trouble, Jungkook needs to take it easy with pre-cautious.

He must be able and capable to choose better ways, tactics that are strategic and thoughtful, or at least won't do any harm to innocent people. Now Jungkook has this unwavering determination to hone his sense of leadership so that he continues to grow into a better man. That way, he believes he can become a wise leader in the future when his time has come to assume the reins of power and replace his father and grandfather as one of the rulers in their pack.

"Jung Hoseok is indeed misguided. And the problem is, no one dares to challenge his power and sovereignty as the leader of the Stellar pack. He's dominating the field. Gosh, that stray demonic dog, I hate him with all my heart," Jin told his husband, Kim Namjoon.

The doctor was sitting in front of his dressing mirror and applying several skincare products to his already clean and glowing face. He had gone home several hours ago and now it was time to rest.

"That's not surprising, Sweet Pea. Most of our kind don't like that guy nor his own shrewdness and cunning traits with all of our being," Namjoon chuckled as he took off his shirt and changed it with comfortable pajamas, "But for now, we still have to be patient considering that there's no way to get rid of him, or at least to make things better for the whole kind."

"Luckily, Jungkook was willing to listen to what I said," Jin sighed. He puts back some skincare products into his pink vanity kit in a bit of annoyance and frustration.
