Doctor Kim Seokjin and Jeon Jungkook get out of the elevator and then walk down the dimly lit hospital hallway.
It was already late at night when the two of them headed towards the most hidden and secret place in Jeon Hospital. The spot was located at the very end of the underground floor and only a few staff and personnel had access to it. Only certain workers were allowed to enter there.
Jungkook and Seokjin walked steadily and silently at the right pace, not too slow or too rushed. But the two werewolves seemed alert, careful and vigilant.
"Where are the security guards?" The raven-haired alpha frowned.
"There should be at least two guards standby here. But they may be making rounds to check on the security of the hospital to keep things under control," Seokjin retorts.
The alpha looked around as they walked on. There were no security guards in sight but CCTV cameras were on and on standby monitoring the surrounding area.
The two of them stood in front of an entrance with a large bar that said "Neo Culture Technology Laboratory" at the end of the corridor. The entrance was made of iron and looks sturdy, advanced and futuristic. Before opening security door after security door with his eye-scanning and fingerprint sensors, the older omega looked around once again. He made sure everything was clear and there was no threat and no one was watching them.
"There's no one here. Where did the lab managers go? Why isn't there anyone in charge tonight, Hyung?" Jungkook questioned, suddenly felt a bit of creep.
"I dunno. There should be at least two personnel. Maybe they're taking a break," Seokjin Hyung answered.
They entered the room that was called the laboratory. Jungkook looked around. Although it looked vague, the dark hall had several separate parts.
The cold air unsettling them as a distinctive pungent aroma wafted and greeted the two of them. The huge room was so cold with a rather thick acid, sour and tart smell mixed with the scent of chemical medicine and herbs. Yet the eerie, mystical and mysterious scent of frangipani wafted through the air.
Even though the scent was obscure and vague, he could smell it, which was actually quite strange for Jungkook. It could be said that of all the parts of the hospital, this laboratory was the one that made him feel the most uncomfortable, not at ease and unsettling.
"What's the matter? You're not afraid to get in here, are you, JK?"
"Why should I be?" He pretended and lied easily, "Unless there's a microwave that will explode in here, then I swear I'll-"
"Just put on the lab coat then," The doctor instructed the alpha as he himself wore the lab coat.
"Wait, is this going to be safe or should I just put on a hazmat or biohazard suit for precaution? There are no biohazards that will do any harm to worry about, right?"
"What hazmat? What biohazards? You're exaggerating," The omega rolled his eyes.
"I'm just saying, Hyung. There are no deadly viruses or microorganisms, mutant monsters, aliens or those things here, right?" The alpha chuckled awkwardly.
"Not funny," Jin glared at him, "And, no, there are no hazardous materials aka hazmat to threaten you here. No need for hazmat suits for now. Just put on the lab coat for safety procedures and protocols. Then come with me."
"Okay, easy," JK gulped and cleared his throat nervously.
"You can use the disposable non-porous gloves and face masks as a precaution too," The doctor informed.
