Vanessa thoughts
were all over the place. She tossed and turned in her bed a bunch of times. Yet still couldn't fall asleep. A big blanket covered Ness since the heater was broken again. It was cold, but that was the last thing on her mind.
She was just staring at the ceiling, frustrated. Her brain couldn't stop. The girl tried reading a book, even her favorite ones. It didn't work. Ness also smoked, and she couldn't sleep.
Ness also worked all day at Family Video, then babysat again. Even if she was exhausted, the brunette couldn't sleep, and that's what Vanessa wanted to do.
But Steve Harrington kept invading her mind.
How his lips felt against hers. The way he pulled Ness closer, wanting more and more. It happened so quickly Ness hadn't even processed the kiss. She kept thinking back on it, making her miss him even more.
Vanessa didn't understand how she had become so consumed by someone with just one kiss. That never happened, not since forever ago.
Everything she felt was bubbling up. All the emotions Vanessa tried to push down in the last couple of months couldn't be anymore. It started and wasn't stopping any time soon.
Days passed as Vanessa and Steve found themselves tangled in one another. Staying up real late or sneaking off to meet up. No matter if it was at work, home, or anywhere else. They were always together. Unable to keep their hands off each other.
The brunette girl even found herself sneaking out of the house without saying anything. Vanessa would go out the window the most since going out the front door was way too risky. Then, got picked up by Steve since the van was too loud.
Both would usually talk once the girl got inside and hung out like they did most of the time. But after that, they would park somewhere to be alone.
Music played through the speakers in Steve's car as the two teens were inside. They had just dropped Dustin off after the movies. It took everything in the older teens not to want to kiss one another.
"Can I get popcorn?" Dustin asked as they stood in the line of people.
Vanessa ruffled his hair, "Yes, Dusty."
The boy smiled before looking in front again. Steve stood behind Vanessa, ensuring no creepy men were looking at her ass. She was only wearing jeans, but you could see the figure she had quite clearly.
As the younger kid in front of them wasn't paying attention, he leaned into her ear. "Am I taking you home after this?"
"No," she quickly responded.
