"There's a place for us.

Somewhere, a place for us."

Vanessa was extremely nervous. She had checked her appearance in the mirror fifteen times while in her room. The girl wanted to make sure to look nice tonight. She put a lot of effort into herself the last few hours, which she never did before.

But it was her first official date with Steve.

Ness had smoked two cigarettes, already feeling super anxious. Nighttime seemed to come so fast, which freaked her out even more. It wasn't like Harrington and her hadn't hung out before, but tonight was different.

Robin had left hours ago, but her best friend still helped her out. After last night's shenanigans, the girls didn't move from the bed till the afternoon. They picked up coffee and stayed inside Vanessa's room to get her all dolled up for Stevie.

"This is cute." The strawberry blonde emphasized.

She pulled out a cute '70s black skirt that had buttons down the front. "It would pair with the red sweater," Robin blabbed on before handing it to Vanessa.

The brunette was freaking out. She had gone through so many outfits and still didn't know what to wear for her date. Ness had never reacted about a guy this way. She always knew what to wear and didn't care about how she looked.

Though the outfit Rob picked out was the one she would wear tonight. She also asked the girl to help with her hair, so she could re-paint her nails black. It was quicker to do two things at once. Vanessa did not want to keep Steve waiting since she had taken so much time getting ready.

"You look so pretty," she smiled. "Steve is gonna lose his shit when he sees you."

"Oh please," Vanessa laughed.

For the rest of the afternoon, the two girls gossiped and got Vanessa ready. Both end up talking about what he might have planned, trying to guess where Steve would be taking her. It put Nessa a little bit at ease.

She also kept reminding herself it would be a fun night, and there was no reason to be nervous. Though the girl still was.

Eventually, after a few hours, Robin left, and the brunette girl was all ready to go. She slid her black boots on before going to wait in the living room.

"You going out?" Eddie asked as his sister walked out of her room.

Ness nodded, seeing he was sitting on the couch reading a Spiderman comic. Usually, he bombarded her with questions, but today, Ed's didn't.
