Eventually,
Vanessa and Steve got to the baseball game. They had met everyone else to support Max. Even the other younger kids were there, too."Stop eating all the damn popcorn," Steve cursed, taking the bag away from Dustin.
The brunette girl was too into watching the baseball game to notice their bickering. The redhead was nervous about being the only girl on the team, though she got in with the help of Ness.
"I didn't even eat that much," Dusty said, taking with a full mouth of popcorn. "You said I could have some of it."
As Steve was about to say something, Vanessa cleared her throat, staring at the two. "Sorry," they both numbed before she turned back to the game.
The only ones there right now were the kids, Steve and her. Everyone else would be showing up soon, but Max wasn't even in the game yet, just sitting on the sidelines.
Hopefully, she would be called in soon. It was only the beginning, plus anything is possible.
"Ness!" The brunette heard, turning to see her other friends. Robin and Hannah, along with the other teen boys coming back from band practice. They all waved, coming towards her, and she smiled.
Quickly, she pecked Steve's cheek before leaving the stands to approach them. The male looked over, seeing the girl running over to her friends. A smile appeared on his face, seeing Vanessa happy. He was also a little nervous as hell, hoping tonight would go smoothly. All he could think about was wanting the girl to be his. The male had nothing to lose at this point.
The last couple of months had been the best he's ever had, and there was no point wasting every minute of Ness not being his.
Suddenly, Steve was pulled from his thoughts. "Hey, man!" A blonde guy said, flopping down next to Steve on the bleachers.
"You must be Steve. I'm Peter," He said, sticking his hand out.
Steve stared at him for a moment, seeing how he came out of nowhere. He just nodded before shaking his hand. "You're the new guitarist, right?"
He smiled, "Yup, that's me."
The chestnut-hair male and Peter got along immediately. Steve never really had friends his age, so it was nice to talk to someone who was.
Near the concession stand were Eddie, Hannah, and the other two band members getting food. After practice and smoking, they were starving.
"You want a drink, Cherry?" Eddie asked the redhead in front of him. Han nodded with a smile, staring at the boy lovingly.
The two teens were still so clueless even though a couple of days later, Eddie would finally make a move on her. (which happened last chapter.) He was just waiting for the right moment.
