SODA:
"Why are we here again?" Cheryl asked after spilling her beer down the front of her dress.
Her scowl matched mine as we made our way past the line to enter Club 21. I flashed my VIP pass in the guard's face, not bothering to stop and let him check his list as I shoved past him and headed into the dark club, blasting music surrounding me. Bodies were everywhere, making me want to gag at the dancing and groping taking place on the dance floor.
Cheryl and her boyfriend Andrew tailed me as we made our way through the crowd. Well, it was more like people parted for me and they trailed in my wake. When I stopped at the back of the club to get out a key and open a large metal door, I answered my cousin without looking up.
"I have a thing here tonight."
"Oh," was all she said before finally letting Andrew kiss her, quickly turning it into an intense make out session. I rolled my eyes at them and entered the room, banging the door closed behind me to keep them from following.
It was dark and cloudy, smoke filling every single inch of space as I stride toward the dressing rooms at the left side of the room. My eyes adjusted as I swung open a flimsy curtain, letting me take in my surroundings. Several VIP guests lounged around on expensive couches and other plush furniture as they smoked things that were considered too 'new' to have on the club floor outside. Most of their faces were blank of expression, leaned back pretty far with smokey halos circling their heads. A few couples, and even a threesome, did their thing on beds in the far corner, and I recognized Amanda, a performer for the club, sitting in a built guy's lap.
I shook my head as they stripped off their last shreds of clothing, turning back to my dressing room and closing the curtain. I pulled out of my leather pants and loose white shirt that was short in the front, making my belly button ring visible. Sliding into a black romper with holes in the sides and a few golden bracelets and necklaces to match, I shoved my feet into simple black ankle boots and fluffed my dark hair before strolling out of the dressing room.
"Hey baby," came a drawl from one of the couches.
I gave him a fleeting glance, making sure it wasn't someone I was supposed to meet tonight, and took in a tall blonde with broad shoulders. He wore a blue button up and nice jeans with white shoes of some kind, I couldn't tell. I quickened my pace to escape him, but he matched me.
"Slow down baby girl, what's the ruuussshhhhh?" he slurred, taking a deep drag from whatever he was smoking before grinning at me.
"I have somewhere to be," I deadpanned, reaching for the door handle.
"Sure you do," he said in a low voice, the low voice that I knew meant a horny man, "you have to be with me, baby. Come on, dance for me."
He grabbed my hand that had latched onto the door and pulled, but my patience was gone. I gripped his wrist and bent until he let go of me with a yelp, pulling away while rubbing his hand.
"Go try your neighbor's dog, you might have more luck getting its tail to wag for you, 'cause my ass isn't," I said flatly before walking out.
It was much louder on the dance floor as I pushed towards the bar where my client sat, completely unsuspecting. I mean, who would expect a five foot six, one hundred and twenty pound brunette to be their worst night mare? No one, that's who.
"Excuse me?" I said, flashing a killer smile, showing of my perfect white teeth.
A man with brown hair and brown eyes turned around with a pleasantly surprised look on his face. He wore a suit with his tie on crooked and his jacket unbuttoned, and his hair was a mess, indicating him to be drunk.
He grinned at me and said, "Yeah babe?"

KEENON:
"Man, how did you even get in here? This place is killer!"
I shook my head at Toby's outburst, wishing him to be quiet while I sipped my drink. The loud music was making my head pound, putting me in a bad mood. Too many bodies and not enough girls, the worst kind of night at a club. I had several interested females, but most were blondes or redheads, and I had an undeniable thing for brunettes. The few brunettes I met that immediately attached themselves to my arm had annoying voices or not so hot faces, so I really didn't feel like taking anyone home for the night.
"I know a guy," a muttered to Toby who already wasn't listening as he chased after a blonde that hadn't had any luck with me.
I scanned the club, making sure I didn't recognize any faces. Knowing people at clubs always sucked because then there were people you would see later in your life at some point who would say something like 'hey, I saw you try to kill that guy at that club' or 'aren't you that dude that banged that girl on top of a table?'. Those moments proved to be some of the most uncomfortable times of my life. How do you explain breaking a bottle over a bouncer's head after beating up half the club and setting fire to a table where your ex sat?
As I lazily ran my eyes over the faces I could see in the dim lighting, lone brown waves caught my eye. I pulled myself out of my drunken mood and sat up. I knew that brunette, the one with killer legs and an ass to die for, sitting on some guy's lap while putting a shot to his lips and making him drink. I couldn't put my finger on it, but she was definitely familiar.
I watched as she pulled the man off his seat and grabbed his hand, flashing a killer smile over her shoulder that could've made a gay dude turn his head. She led him through the crowd, and I observed the way people tended to just scramble out of her way as if on instinct as the two of them disappeared through a metal door off to the side.
"Hey there," a voice purred just before a very tipsy blonde dropped into my lap, wrapping her hands around my neck.
"Hi," I breathed, trying not to grimace at how she just crushed the part of my anatomy that made me a male.
"Why are you all alone?" she asked with a pouty face. "A hottie like you should have some company."
I chuckled when she tried to smile seductively, but her lipstick had managed to get smeared across her teeth, making it look like she had black teeth under the club lights. She frowned at my attempt to not laugh, covering the smears for a second and giving me time to put my serious face back on.
"You're not my type, sweetheart," I said right in her ear.
She just deepened her smile and moved her polished nails down the front of my shirt until she was touching me and said with a giggle, "I can be any type you want."
My eyes widened at her bold approach, my body immediately turned on by her hands. I had not been expecting that. She felt my arousal and gave a knowing smile.
"Come on, hottie, I know you want me. Let's have some fun tonight," she said, kissing me hard on the lips.
I could taste her lipstick and thought of the red stuff smeared across her teeth and literally laughed into her mouth. I covered it up by biting her lip, not interested in her hot little body and not caring what color hair she had.
