KEENON:

I watched him walk back in with her, this Matt character. I tried to keep myself from being jealous, I never got jealous, but when it came to Soda, I wanted her. I wanted her to be mine and only mine, and I had never wanted that before. Even with Andrea, I would always wonder if there was someone else out there for me. With Soda, it was different. She made me come alive.

The two made their way over to our group hand in hand, but when they approached they released each other rather quickly. I eyed Matt wearily. He was my height, maybe slightly taller, with dark hair and a large frame, definitely competition material. He stood behind Soda so that his hands disappeared behind her as well, and I had a feeling he was doing a lot with those hands that no one could see if the blush on Soda's cheeks was anything to go by.

Brody walked over to them and handed Matt a drink, making me wonder how they all knew each other. How far back did the relationship go? Were Matt and Soda together? Had they been at some point? What had they been doing outside the club?

"...in about an hour."

I startled when I realized Soda's lips were pressed to my ear while she spoke to me.

"What did you say?" I yelled over the music.

She leaned in closer and said again, "I have to start getting people home in about an hour. I can't afford to miss this meeting."

I nodded at her, remembering I had promised not to drink and to help her get people home if she came here with me. Now I was wishing we hadn't come. Watching her with Matt was like watching my brother and Andrea, and I hated myself for how much I let it hurt.

"Why don't you get a drink and loosen up?" Toby asked, nodding toward the bar.

"I can't, I promised Soda I would help her get people home," I shouted back.

"Speaking of which," he began before leaning down to kiss a blonde for a minute, "who is that guy with her?"

I sighed and shrugged. "I don't really know, but his name is Matt and she seems to know him."

Toby frowned as he looked over at the two of them. "They look like they more than know each other."

I gritted my teeth. "I know."

Toby looked at me for a second and grinned. "If I wasn't drunk, I would think you really like her."

I rolled my eyes and walked away before he could even start that mess with me again. I didn't feel like talking about Soda. Speak of the devil...

"What are you doing over here?" Soda asked, leaning against the wall with me.

I shrugged, trying to ignore the fact that her shoulder was touching mine. "Just watching. Where's your friend?"

Her eyes scanned the crowd for a minute before she grinned and pointed to the bar. "Over there. Looks like he found himself a date."

I frowned, not really understanding why she was happy about that. "How do you know each other?"

"We go back a few years," was all she said before S&M by Rihanna came on.

Matt started making his way over to us with a huge, devious grin on his face. Soda's face seemed to pale a bit as she grabbed my shirt and pulled my in front of her.

"Hide me," she said in my ear, scrunching behind me.

I didn't have time to answer before Matt was standing in front of me, laughing.

"Can I borrow that little lady behind you for a minute?" he asked, looking over my shoulder.

"No!" Soda yelled at him.

He looked at me expectantly, and I had to admit I was curious, so I stepped aside. Soda glared at me as Matt snagged her by the waist and pulled her to him, whispering in her ear. She pushed against him and shook her head furiously while he just nodded with a grin on his face.

Not a minute later, Matt dragged her over to the DJ, who in turn started the song over. I lost the two of them in the crowd for a second until I saw Matt shoving Soda up onto a platform where a metal pole stood for when the club had stripper nights. He stood with his hands on his hips, refusing to let her back down.

Looking furious, she huffed and turned to the pole, wrapping her leg around it. My eyes widened as I realized what she was about to do. Why would Matt make her do that!

I watched with a gaping mouth as Soda danced up and down, side to side, on the pole, by now having quite the audience. Men whooped and whistled as she dropped it down low, then smoothly slid to her belly as she body rolled on the floor to the tune of the song. Coming back up, she popped her bottom out and twerked on her hands and knees, and I was hit hard in the southern region with how amazingly sexy Soda was.

The song ended and Matt reached up and helped Soda off the stage, so I made my way over to them with fists clenched.

"What the hell was that?!"
