"Can't believe Julian said he's never been nervous for anything," Violet commented as she walked round the house with Fanny.

"Oh, well it's all lies, dear, that man is full of them," Fanny retorts.

"I know he lies a lot but, you're telling me you've seen him nervous? What else don't I know?" Violet was very curious at this point, sensing Fanny had witnessed a lot over the years.

"Julian once freaked out over seeing a politician on the television say 'Family, family, family!' He claimed he invented the catchphrase and they stole it from him. I know plenty of 'goss' as they call it," Fanny shrugs nonchalantly, as if she didn't just reveal something Violet could use as blackmail against Julian.

"You have to tell me more!"

As so, the gossip of Button House was revealed.

"You know Thomas actually had a small thing for you when you first arrived? But then he realised he much preferred Alison..."

"Cheeky git. Explains a lot though."

Violet wouldn't know what to do with that knowledge if he still had a current crush on her.

"Kitty sometimes watches you as you sleep so she can practice how to look, and I quote, 'alive but not alive but sleeping, but not awake'," Fanny purses her lips as her eyes widen at the odd statement she had to repeat.

"That's a bit odd..."

Kitty sometimes didn't make sense to Violet.

"I have seen Mary wandering the halls outside Mike and Alison's bedroom in the late hours, and she waits there with a smile on her face. Still trying to get a nosy at Mike if you ask me," Fanny predicts, wondering why else would Mary be waiting around there.

"I knew it! I still see her staring at him sometimes, you can tell," Violet adds in, glad she wasn't the only one who noticed.

"You certainly can, dear," Fanny nods.
"I shall have to see what else I can find out. I am going to go and get the scoop, as they say," she proudly adds, happy she knew the lingo.

"I'm excited to hear, Fanny," Violet grins at the lady, waving her goodbye as they wander off to separate parts of the house.

Violet was feeling much more happier, and this was no coincidence that it was after the court case with her mother went ahead. 30 years, in prison. Pat raged at the news when he found out and said it should have been for life, and Violet couldn't say she disagreed. April Goodall was truly good for nothing, and now she was in the best place for her, prison.

The girl got to live her life a lot more freely now, and things had been normal around Button House, well, as much as it could with the ghosts.

"Violet, your move," Robin grunted at the girl, who was sat opposite him. After walking away from Fanny, Violet had gotten roped into a game of chess with Robin, but she was trying to earwig on the conversation Alison was having with whoever knocked at the door.

"Can I help you?"

"Violet, it your turn."

"Okay, Robin, fine."

"Will probably come as a shock. I'm just going to say it, I'm your half sister."

"Oh my god!" Violet says out loud, hearing the last comment that was made. Alison, has a half sister? She knew about Alison's parents and that she didn't have any siblings, but here she was, someone turning up and saying she was her sister.

"Told you I'm best at this game!" Robin cheered, thinking Violet's reaction was from him winning against her again.

After around ten minutes of playing more chess with Robin, Alison came walking through with a woman behind her, Violet couldn't say she saw the likeness but each to their own. She also realised how weird it may have looked if she was playing chess on her own so she quickly stood up from her seat.
