I was laying in bed reading a book, just enjoying myself. It was my day off and I wanted nothing more than to curl up and read a book. But when my phone rang, I knew my plans were ruined. I answered my phone.
"Hello?" I groaned.
"Jay! You wanna hang out with me tonight?" Lexi voice rang through the phone.
"No, not really."
"But why not?!" She exclaimed.
"I don't know, I'm not really feeling too good actually." I answer indignantly.
"Well, we can fix that!"
"Oh, yeah?"
"Yeah!"
"And just how would you do that?"
"I don't know, we'll figure it out along the way!"
"But-"
"Okay, I'll be there in twenty minutes!" She interjected before hanging up.
I seriously wasn't feeling going out tonight. Although I had nothing good to do, I was perfectly fine by myself. Besides, it was my day off, and all I wanted to do was catch up on my sleep. Anyways, I got up out of my warm bed and went to go get dressed. I figured that we weren't going anywhere fancy, so I just got dressed in a pair of denim shorts and a long-sleeved white button up blouse. My hair was naturally curly, so I just left it like that.
After I was ready, I grabbed my phone and wallet, and went into the living room to wait for Lexi to come. She had a terrible tendency to be later than what she had originally planned, so I turned the tv on and waited for her late arrival. A few minutes later, I got a text on my phone from Lexi saying that she was outside. I texted her back saying okay, and I made my way outside to her.
"Hey!"
I ignored her as I climbed in, slamming the door behind me.
"What's wrong?" Lexi asked, a half-concerned look sprawled upon her face.
"I told you, I didn't want to go out anywhere." I told her, suddenly extremely annoyed by her.
"I know, and I'm sorry. I just don't feel that it's healthy for you to be cooped up in that apartment all day, everyday."
I gave her one those looks that said 'seriously? You're going with that one?'
"Anyways," I started, "where are we going?"
"There isn't really a good place around here, so we'll just hit the bar."
"You know I don't drink."
"Yes, I do, but I figured that I could at least get you to try one."
"Nope."
"Please?"
"No!"
"Please?"
"No!"
"Why not?"
"Because I don't want to!"
"But Kyle will be there, so if we get drunk he'll protect us."
"And if he gets drunk?" I asked, folding my arms.
"His girlfriend will be there." She simply explained.
I know that that won't help anything, but I didn't feel like arguing so I just shut up.
"I'll go, but I'm not gonna drink anything."
"Ugh, you're such a Debby-Downer!"
I gave her my middle finger, and she just laughed and started driving to the bar.
