"Drake?! Seriously, how hard is it to get this?!"
"Very, apparently, because I can't get it!"
"Okay, one more time." I sighed, " A squared plus b cubed equals c squared; A is fourteen, bis thirty, and c is a mystery. What you have to do is just find out the answer, so please... just find the answer!" I said shaking him.
"Do you have it now?
"Listen, no matter how many times you say it-" he got closer to my face, "it doesn't mean that I'm gonna get it!"
I face palmed myself and grunted.
"Maybe I can help," Colin suggested.
"Great!"
I jumped up from the chair and let Colin sit down.
"Thank you."
He tapped his cheek as if he was wanting me to kiss it.
"Nope!" I said grumpily.
"No?" He sadly asked.
"Yeah."
"Yeah?!"
"No!" I laughed while patting his shoulder, then laid on the bed with Dani.
"He likes you." She whispered.
"Shut up," I said, pushing her as well.
"Why don't you just date him?"
"Because he's friends with Drake."
"Oh my god, who cares!"
"I do! Drake's my friend, and two friends dating a friend's best friend just doesn't work out."
"That's TV, dumbass; if you don't, then I will."
"No, don't do that!"
"Then grow a pair and you do it yourself!"
"I need a break!" Drake suddenly yelled, slamming his hands down on the desk then standing up. And he wasted no time in doing just that.
"Colin?" I called.
"Yeah?"
"Do you wanna go out with me tomorrow?"
"No." He just so straightforwardly said.
"No?" I repeated in a shocked tone.
"Nah, I'm just playing. Of course, I'll go out with you." He gave one of his charming smiles, and I felt those butterflies start fluttering.
"Great, and then after that then maybe we can go to the party that the frats are throwing tomorrow after our date."
"Sure... wait, aren't your parents coming over tomorrow?" His eyebrows furrowed together.
"No, they're coming over Satur- oh, yeah," I said, my memory coming back.
"We really can't miss them." Dani murmured.
"I know we can't." I thought about it for a minute. "Colin, would you mind tagging along with us?
"With your parents?"
Dani and I nodded.
"Oh, no. I'm not that type of guy." He shook his head.
"Please, I really wanna go out with you, but I don't wanna blow off my parents. Please, Colin?" I put on my sweetest voice that I could muster up.
"No, and that voice isn't gonna work so quit it!" He spun around the chair and made his back face me. "And the face isn't either, so don't even try it."
