Chapter 22
The sun was setting very fast and Tyrone felt time was running out. The forest looked eerie and different as it was starting to get a little dark. Destiny on the other hand was in the kitchen behind the snack bar, arming herself.
"I have kitchen knives and forks on me. If we're going to save Matt, we better go prepared." said Destiny.
Tyrone silently nodded and turned to see Bon-Bon and Bubbles conversing.
"Matt liked watching them talk. I hope he gets the chance." said Tyrone, almost choking and losing his composure. Destiny walked up to him and put her hands on Tyrone's shoulders.
"Listen to me. I know Matt is alive. And that wolf couldn't have killed him. My gut tells me he's safe." said Destiny.
"I don't know." whispered Tyrone softly.
"Matt is a tough kid. I know he's alive." said Destiny.
"Bon-Bon." said Bon-Bon, agreeing with Destiny.
"You think he's safe?" asked Tyrone to Bon-Bon.
Bon-Bon replied, but in his usual manner. He stopped midway and pulled out a notepad from the counter and began to write.
"What..." said Tyrone. He looked at Destiny, who was also taken aback. Bon-Bon handed Tyrone the notepad and read aloud.
Dark Impulse can't kill Matt. Not yet. Matt is one of the chosen ones to save Rood Bridge Park from the crazy Viscount Bryan. The light in him scares the Dark Impulse users. The wolf cannot hurt him. His light will protect him from a low level canine like he is. But we better hurry. Mt. Hood is not safe at night!
Tyrone handed the notepad back to Bon-Bon and he continued writing.
"We should have communicated like this sooner." said Destiny, almost smiling.
Bon-Bon handed the notepad to Tyrone.
"Uriel is here."
"The mothman from the cheese factory is here?" asked Tyrone.
"If that's so, then Matt is surely safe." said Destiny.
Tyrone felt an intense flood of relief all over his chest. Uriel was a friend, not a foe, and a one of the Mothmen to boot.
"Let's get going." said Tyrone, with hope rising in his voice.

The following is a transcript from a long lost VHS video that was recorded on Mt. Hood in the year 1993. Three hikers were on the snowy path in Mt. Hood when they came across something unholy and dangerous. This was their tape!
Hiker 1: Man, it's so dark out! We better be careful if we're going to hike at night. And whose idea was this anyway?!
Hiker 2: It was me! And once we do this, we'll go home as heroes of the mountain!
Hiker 3: You're an idiot. And so are you! Hiking at night is not safe! We don't know what's out there!"
Hiker 2: Relax. We're not running into wild savage rabbits or ghostly wolves or any of the sort.
Hiker 3: I have heard there's this evil cult somewhere in Mt. Hood. They call themselves the Dark Impulse. Have you heard of that shit?
Hiker 1: Quiet you guys. I hear something.
(Voices and chanting can be heard from a distance.)
Hiker 1: Let's go check it out!
Hiker 3: No way! That's how horror movies start out!
Hiker 2: This is real life. There isn't such a thing as an evil cult.
Hiker 3: This is not a good idea.
Hiker 1: Quiet. Let's turn off our flashlights.
Hiker 3: Are you insane? And you want us to walk into the forest with nothing to light our path?
Hiker 2: It's the only way to not get attention to ourselves. Besides, I'm holding the camera, and I'm recording everything. If we do get something, we'll not only be heroes back in town, we'll be rewarded!
The video continues with the Hikers walking into the dark forest, hearing animal noises, owls hooting at night and then the chanting gets closer. The three Hikers then come across a snowy hill and they quietly sneak up to see what is going on. The camera is still rolling.
There are people dressed in black, chanting out the words "Peace and Profit" surrounding an immense hot and boiling hole on the ground, with smoke coming out. Then, appearing from top of a large hill comes the sinister shadow of a tall dark man wearing a horned helmet and his mask conceals his face. His robes were black as the other chanters, with a red long shirt underneath, indicating he is the leader of whatever cult the Hikers were spying on.
Chanters: All hail Viscount Bryan.
Viscount Bryan holds out his bony hand, which is covered in a glove with very sharp claws, making him look like some dark minister of evil.
Viscount Bryan: For generations, Rood Bridge Park has humiliated me. They promote their love and their so-called peace when our darkness has been cast out. Today, my followers, you will all jump into the hole and become one with the forest. Mt. Hood will be a sanctuary of the Dark Impulse! And it is here where I will soon cast the all mighty Eternal Night Curse!
Follower: You mean the Eternal Winter my lord.
Viscount Bryan: No fool. The Eternal Night. It is a curse that will cast night everlasting. Instead of snow, there will be darkness. There will be no light. There will be nothing to light people's way home. This mountain will be my sanctuary! And it is here where my victory will be...
A twig snaps. It wasn't the Hikers. They turn the camera up to see large winged people with shining red eyes attack.
Viscount Bryan: Jump into the lava! Become one with the Dark Impulse! Do not let the Mothmen defeat you! Peace and Profit! Peace and Profit!
The winged creatures use chains to trap some people. But a majority of them started falling into the lava and dark faces appeared in the form of smoke. The horned leader then laughs and runs away while a giant winged creature appears before him. They end up fighting will the Hikers lower their heads.
Hiker 3: This is too much! I can't take anymore of this!
Hiker 2: Wait! Come back idiot!
Hiker 3 then gets pushed accidentally by one of the winged creatures and falls into the lava.
Hiker 2 and 1 stand up to run, and they drop the camera. It continues to roll, as the chaos unfolds.
