Chapter 26

Everything happened all at once. Natalie put both hands on the ground, and screamed. Her eyes started to glow green and large plants burst from the ground. Sam on the other hand did something unthinkable. He grabbed one of his dark orbs and swallowed it. Upon eating it, his body morphed. Yes, Sam transformed before everyone's eyes. He became a large black bat and flew into the sky, grabbing some coffins and putting them on Natalie's soft plants.

Bon-Bon ran up on a plant and jumped all over the coffins, slowing down their fall. Bubbles ran around the area, trying to grab the coffins that couldn't be caught by the plants. And then, the bunny warriors arrived with Gannon and Garret. The bunnies formed into a giant mass of fuzzy fur and they served as cushions for falling coffins. Gannon and Garret did what Bon-Bon did, by running up the plants and trying to catch the coffins. Uriel then was seen flying into the sky, also catching coffins along the way, with his massive moth wings.

Destiny, Tyrone and Matt were amazed at how everyone was pinching in. And then they turned their attention to Violet, who was standing up, looking at the trio angrily.

"You all may have friends in high places, but this isn't over. Mt. Hood is still enchanted under the Dark Impulse and I have the power to summon the monsters!" she said, screaming. Violet then put her palms in front of her and her fingers grew long like tree branches.

The ground which was white from the snow was then turning black and monsters were forming from the ground.

"Kill them all!" roared Violet.

"Oh no you don't!" cried Destiny. She ran up towards Violet, using her sword to attack.

Violet on the other hand summoned her own sword. A long black one with purple diamonds on the blade and she then started to attack Destiny.

Tyrone and Matt defended themselves against the monsters while Destiny fought with Violet. They traded blows and Violet managed to scratch Destiny across the ribs and her arms. But Destiny did not give up. She continued fighting and she screamed angrily as Violet didn't give in.

"We have to help her!" cried Tyrone.

"No! She's got this! And besides, the ground is turning white again!" cried Matt.

The Dark Impulse that was on the ground was vanishings and only a few monsters were around. However, the bunnies fought and saved fallings coffins while Bubbles attacked. Bon-Bon jumped into the air with two swords and rolled his body around like a weed wacker, slicing the monsters to pieces while Garret fired with his twin guns, killing a few monsters. Gannon used a large shield to push some monsters away while Sam and Natalie focused on saving the sleeping children.

Tyrone and Matt watched as everyone was fighting, and then, they heard a roar from behind them. The boys turned to see a shadow of the Jersey Devil standing before them.

Tyrone was gasping, his heart beating way too fast. Matt noticed and quickly held his hand.

"Tyrone... I forgive you." said Matt.

"W-what?" asked Tyrone.

"I'll tell you later. But you must know this. I love you. Te quiero mucho. Whatever happens tonight, know that I will always love you hermano." said Matt.

Tyrone tried not to cry, but he started to sob. "I love you too. And you won't die tonight. None of us will. We're going to make it. We're going to make it." said Tyrone, not taking his gaze away from the Jersey Devil, which was stalking them.

"Matt, I know what I said to you and I'm so sorry. I should never have said that terrible thing to you." said Tyrone.

"I know. I know." said Matt. He held Tyrone's hand firmly.
