Chapter 5

Next morning

Sai got Savi and Vinu ready for school. She sent them down for breakfast. She then got ready and mentally prepared a speech to thank Satya. She looked herself in the mirror. She looked different probably because all the problems were finally solved and she was tension free.

Sai went downstairs. Everyone saw that she was looking more happy and chirpy than before.

Kaku - Aaja Sai, nashta kar le.

Sai - Nahi kaku, aap log kijiye mai canteen mein kuch kha lungi.

Virat - Sai magar....

Sai - Maine kaha na Virat main hospital jakar canteen se kuch kha lungi. Plz mujhe force mat karo..... chalein baccho?

Virat - Chalo...mai tum logon ko drop kr deta hu.

Sai - Theek hai....tum Vinu aur Savi ko school drop kar do main hospital Jaa rhi hu.

Virat - Are...par main tumhe drop kar deta hu na ?

Sai - Meri kahi koi baat tumhe ek baar me samaj nhi aati hai kya ? Jitna concern tum mere liye dikhate ho utna agar apni biwi ke liye dikhaoge to shayad uski insecurities kam ho jaye aur vo mujhpar ilzam lagana band kar de. Mai khud hospital chali jaungi. Bye....bye bada.

Vinu and Savi - Bye aai.

Sai reached the hospital. Before she could meet Satya, an emergency case came up and she had to perform a 3hr  long surgery. After the surgery she went on to check on her patients. Sai realised that the lunch break had got over. She was literally hungry. She decided to grab something from the canteen. She stepped out from her cabin when her head started spinning. She was about to fall when two masculine arms grabbed her.

Satya - Sai..Sai tum theek ho na ?

Satya helped Sai sit on her chair. He gave her a glass of water.

Sai - Mai theek hu....shayad subah se kuch khaya nhi isliye...

Satya - What ! Are you mad ? Ek doctor hokar apni health ki Zara bhi parwah nhi hai tumhe ? Sai pichle kuch dino mein jo kuch hua that has taken a stroll on your mind. Aise mein tumhe apne khane pine ka aur dhyan rkhna chahiye....tum Yha baitho...mai abhi aata hu.... khabardar jo yha hili to.

Satya went and quickly returned with some sandwiches and a glass of juice.

Satya - C'mon... finish this.....aise kya dekh rhi ho ... finish this quickly.

Saying this he picked up a sandwich and fed her. Virat, who had come to give lunch to Sai, saw Satya feeding food to Sai with his own hands.

Virat - Sai !

Sai - Virat ?

Virat - Vo...tum aaj ghar se nashta kiye bina chali gai thi to maine socha tumhe lunch de du aakar...lekin...yha shayad ab iss lunch ki zarurat na pade.

Sai - Exactly Virat...mujhe tumhare concern ki aur tumhare laye gye khane ki koi zarurat nhi hai.

Satya - Sai, meri shift khatam ho gayi hai...mai chalta hu.

As he was about to leave, Sheetal came.

Sheetal - Doctor, ek emergency hai...aap dono ko surgery krni hai.

Satya - Theek hai tum ot ready karvao.

Sai picked up her apron and got up to move when Satya interrupted her. He picked up the glass of juice and handed over to her glaring at her. She quickly gulped down the juice.and kept the glass back at the table.

Sai - Ab chalein ?

Satya - Chalo

Virat's Pov :

Ye dono to mujhe aise ignore karke chale gye jaise mai Yha hu hi nahi...aur Sai ....Satya ke hath se khana kha sakti hai...lekin mera laya hua khana nhi. Ye kal ka aya Satya Sai ke liye mujhse jyada important ho gya ! Mujhe jald se jald Sai se apne mann ki baat kehni hogi. Aaj sham ko jab Sai ghar ayegi tab mai usse bat karunga.

Virat went from there.

Satya and Sai completed the surgery. Satya was going to his cabin when Sai called him.

Sai - Satya, ek min. Mujhse tumse kuch baat krni hai.

Satya - Hn bolo.

Sai - Yha nhi...tumhare cabin mein chale ?

Satya - Ok.

Satya opened the door of his cabin for Sai.

Satya - Ab bolo kya baat hai ?

Sai - Thank you.

Satya - Kisliye ?

Sai - Itni help Kari hai tumne meri ki ab thank you shabad bhi chota lagta hai. Tumne Vinu ko sach bataya....uske liye thank you so much. Tumhe nhi pata tumne mujh par kitna bada ehsan kiya hai. Aaj tumhari vajah se mera beta mere pass hai. Mujhe aai bula rha hai sirf aur sirf tumhari vajah se. Tumhara ye ehsan kbhi bhula nhi paungi mai.

Satya noticed tears in Sai's eyes.

Satya - Maine bas dosti nibhayi hai apni koi ehsan nahi kiya. Got it ?

Sai - I'm sorry. Maine pehle tumhare sath boht bura kiya ....but shayad isliye ki zindagi mein mere apno se itne dokhe khaye hai maine ki kisi gair par bharosa nahi hota mujhe. (Sai who was controlling herself now broke down into tears.) Apne Aaba ke baad agr maine kisi se sabse jyada pyar kiya tha to vo tha Virat. Lekin usne mujhe zindagi ka sabse bada dard diya. Main Patralekha ke khilaaf use warn karti rhi lekin usne meri ek nhi suni. Patralekha ki vajah se maine apne pehle bacche ko iss dunia mein aane se pehle hi kho diya. Aur phir....usne mere Vinu ko bhi mujhse cheen liya. Mere...inhi hathon se Virat ne khud mere bacche ko cheenkar uski god mein de diya. Aaj tumne mere usi bacche ko mujhe lautaya hai Satya...(joining her hands) Main ye ehsan kabhi chuka nhi paungi.

Satya's heart pained listening to her. Tears welled up in his eyes. Without thinking anything he engulfed her in his embrace. Sai cried on his chest. Satya didn't stop her as it was necessary to let out the pain she had stored inside her since long. After a few minutes...Sai calmed down. They both parted away.

Sai - Sorry...mai...

Satya - It's ok. Koi bat nhi...aur ek bat mai last time samjha rha hu. Maine koi ehsan nhi kiya hai. Vinu ko sach janne ka haq tha...ek bat aur....kabhi bhi life mein koi problem ho to yaad rkhna ki main humesha tumhare sath khada rahunga. Humesha !

Sai kept on admiring the man infront of her. Probably for the first time she saw someone who was completely like her Aaba. After so many years...Sai didn't feel lonely. She felt that she has someone who will always be with her in all her ups and downs.
