Oops! Sorry

"Pink, what are you doing here? Thought you were grounded," Shavonne said.

"Got out of house arrest yesterday," he said, "No thanks to some people."

I shook my head and ran toward the water before jumping in. No thanks to some people, my ass. Did I ask Benny to ruin his parents' party and tell the whole room about us?

Shavonne POV

I pulled Don aside while everyone else talked amongst themselves.

"You guys need to leave. Like right now," I said, "I told you we'd be here and bring Cammy."

"I know. I'm sorry," he said, "Pink kinda invited himself. It's not like I didn't miss him. I didn't want something bad to happen. How's Cammy? Is she doing any better than when I saw her last week?"

"She's depressed, Don," I said, "She's really depressed, and we had to drag her out of my bed and bribe her to come here. He needs to sort his shit out and be a fucking man."

I loved Pink, but it was immature of him to avoid Cammy like this. He was just a fucking coward, and his being here wasn't going to be good for anyone.

"Babe," Don said, "Don't worry. It's going to be ok. We'll probably only be here for like an hour or so. Plus, the car is up there. We could have a little alone time if you want to."

I smirked and looked up at him, "Alright. Why not?"

Cammy POV

I trod water as Kaye and Darla swam over to me.

"Hey, you ok?" Darla said.

"Pretty fucking far from it," I said.

"If you want to leave, it's ok," Kaye said, "We can do whatever you want."

"No, I want to stay," I said, "We were here first, and I'm not going to give him that satisfaction. I'm just going to swim for a little longer."

Everyone else jumped in, so we swam toward them.

"Fuck! This water is so cold my balls are gonna freeze!" O'Bannion said.

"Huh, didn't know you had those," I said, making everyone laugh except Pink.

"Bitch," he snarled. Still no reaction from Pink. Normally, he'd tell O'Bannion to shut up, but nope.

"So, Pink. How does it feel to not be grounded anymore?" I said.

He didn't open his mouth or look at me. Wow, what a fucking coward.

"Pink, man. She asked you a question," Melvin said.

"Who? I didn't hear anything," Pink said flatly, making me bite my cheek in anger.

"Don't be a douchebag," Shavonne said.

"It's ok, Shav. He can't help it," I said coldly before swimming around.

Everyone swam around for an hour or so. I swam with them but stuck closer to the girls. Afterward, we went back to shore. I wrapped myself in my towel as the boys passed a volleyball to each other.

After my body dried, I dried my hair, slowly getting up and teasing my hair with the towel when all of a sudden, the volleyball landed at my feet.

"Hey, Cam. Can you pass that back to us?" Melvin said.

"Yeah, sure thing."

The boys were in a circle formation, and Pink's back was facing me. So, I took a few steps forward, pulled my forearm back so the ball was slightly behind my head, and threw as strongly as I could, hitting Pink in the back of the head.

The girls gasped, and the guys were either trying to stifle their laughs or too stunned to speak.

"Cammy!" Darla said.

Pink grabbed the back of his head and turned around at warp speed.

"What the fuck was that?!" He yelled.

I can't believe that was what I had to do to get him to acknowledge my existence. There were so many responses I could've given, but I decided to give the short and sweet one.

I shrugged my shoulders and looked at him innocently, "Oops! Sorry."
