Aaron and Jefferson Davis were once inseparable. Growing up in poverty only fueled their criminal lifestyle. They didn't have a choice. That was the cost of being born into the slums of New York. The pair understood what it was like to go to sleep hungry, without safety, and not knowing what's next to come. The way that life took from them, they decided to take back to survive.

Jefferson was never a fan of criminal activity, yet Aaron involved them with major mob boss Turk Barrett. Jefferson's reluctance towards major crime led to a dispute between himself and Turk's henchmen. The escalation between Turk's henchmen and Jefferson led to the arrival of policemen. Committed to living a fulfilling life, Jefferson became an officer of the NYPD. The two married and welcomed their son, Miles Morales. Promising to give Miles a better chance at life than he had, Jefferson rid himself of the tarnished Davis surname.

To be a proper example to Miles, Jefferson put others ahead of himself. He worked hard to become the Police Captain of the NYPD. His new life of virtue and commitment came with a cost. His life.

Jefferson sacrificed himself to save a child. In turn, Miles felt lost and alone. The same man that led Jefferson down the path of crime, had influenced Jefferson's only son into a life of crime. The very thing he was running away from.

Miles Morales entered a state of vengeance. Uncle Aaron provided an outlet to where he could wreak havoc on the world for taking from him. From now on, Miles Morales lives a life of crime as the alias...
