It was homecoming weekend and the three of us were invited to a couple of parties. I planned on turning it down, but Aria and Jaya gave me the whole 'get over him' talk. It's been about six months since Miles and I fought. I personally think I'm over it, but they say otherwise. Regardless, these parties were supposed to get me out into the dating market again.
I was approaching the Greek Life housing, but I couldn't tell which one to walk into. Their phone line was too loud for me to hear them. I told them to head out without me earlier, since I was taking too long on my makeup. It's our freshman year of college and I want to make an impact.
I walked inside the house I thought it was. There were a lot of drunk people. The music was blaring, the room full of smoke, and the lights were flashing. I could tell this was a party for frat guys. I immediately tensed up. I was never the party type, but I wanted to live my life.
"Hey sweetie what's up?" Some drunk guy approached.
"I'm sorry. I've got a boyfriend. He'll rock yo shit if you touch me." I snapped back knowing damn well I was single as hell.
I weave around the sweaty people as they grind to the music. I looked everywhere in the house to find Aria and Jaya. I got a text message from our group chat. It was too crowded for me to pull out my phone.
I walked towards the bathroom area looking down at my phone. I bumped into someone, causing me to jerk my head up.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going." I screamed over the music. The girl turned around and smiled. She had platinum white hair with blue eyes and was wearing all black. She was standing alone next to the bathroom.
"That's ok. I'm kind of lost. I'm looking for my friends." She shouted back to me over the music. Looks like we're both in the same predicament. She turned her head to the side, "There they are! I guess I should thank you. You pointed me in the right direction." The girl walked away. I stood in her place and I looked down at my phone.
