Y/N's POV: My gut sank as we all let go of each other. Leon was the last to let go, letting his fingers linger on my waist long enough to bring heat to my face. We paused taking each other all in before he pushed the double doors open.
Looking around before entering. I slowly followed after him, and Ashley after me.
Leon moved slow making sure to check everywhere before turning back around to check on us. I kept my hand on my pistol just in case, it was almost like a comfort thing.
"Alright come on." He turned back around signaling us that it seemed safe enough to pick up pace. "Okay." Ashley replied hesitantly as I nodded. Though nothing appeared out of the ordinary, my instincts were telling me something was really wrong.
My anxiety was flowing through the roof and my heart was racing like a Nascar driver, yet I had no explanation to why. I shook away the feeling and thoughts letting my eyes trail back to Leon. This time taking in his back, and the way you could see his muscles flex and move through his tight shirt. The way everything moved just in the right way as he innocently strutted around. Yet another thing that keeps you wanting him.
"Eugh..!!" A yelp from Ashley comes from behind me, causing Leon and I to suddenly turn around. My mind runs blank. The man... the man that had caused Leon to have a panick attack... The one in the cloak and hat, he was back, and this time for Ashley. "Fuck." I mutter quickly opening fire on him. The bullets to absolutely nothing.
"Ashley!" Leon was quick with his reflexes and shoved his combat knife deep into the shoulder of the man, causing him to release his grip on Ashley. But it was only enough for him to do just that, before the man's attention was on Leon. He had no reaction to the blade piercing through his skin, only eyes like fire that were set heavy on Leon, out for blood.
Fear rushed over me, and it felt like time was in slow motion. Leon still had his grip on the knife, and I watched helplessly as the large man boring his eyes into Leon withdrew his arm from the edge of the blade, and smashed his arm into Leon sending him flying into the mud puddles before us.
He easily made Leon appear small, his arm was about the size of Leon's torso, which says a lot if you've seen him.
A grunt leaves his mouth as his head smashes into a rock, pain leaving his body as he rocks on the ground. Ashley and I bolt to his side keeping eyes on the large man.
"Leon." She touched his head, it wasn't bleeding but he'd sure have a head ache.
"Leon, come on we've gotta go." I bend down wrapping my arms around him in attempt to pick him up like I could, the man is heavy...
He grunts again just laying there for a second.
"Your soul requires cleansing." A dark demonic voice grumbles as I watch him effortlessly close the gigantic doors we had entered and bend the metal bars over the handle like they were paper.
Ashley's breathing was heavy and I could tell she had began to panic. Leon was down and bullets don't work on him, Ashley was in a trance. There was nothing we could do. Was it over...? I keep my eyes on the man, still struggling to try and lift Leon. "Fuck..." I whine out feeling panic start to settle in. Ashley was frozen in fear as she watched the man turn around and begin to approach.
Reminded me of Raccoon City. When I first met Leon and couldn't move or act on something when I needed to. When I wasn't used to seeing people hurt or dying.
"Come children." The large man grumbles again looking back and froth from Ashley and I. Leon was starting to move now. He stumbled to his feet, using my hands for leverage as he got up. I held onto him a little longer as the man had begin to pick up pace.
"Ashley, run." He jutted out, his voice was deep and serious and he turned to pause and look at the man. He was still hunched over a bit, I could tell he was hurting, but we don't have time right now. If we don't get out of here soon, we won't have time at all.
Still with my hand in his, Leon turns around suddenly and begins to run, taking me with him. Ashley in front of us. Leon keeps checking over his shoulder to make sure I'm there, also keeping watch on the large man following close behind.
"Hurry!" He yells, pulling his pistol out in his other hand. We approach a village with of course villagers pouring out at us as we enter. I'm so ready to give up, I feel so sick and anxious and my heart feels like its barely beating anymore. Leon continues on, not looking back on the man anymore but keeping his eyes on me.
Can he tell...?
He breaks eye contact to avoid any villagers, as Ashley falls close behind, seeking protection from Leon and I. I can't help but watch him though. Even though he wasn't watching me, my eyes wouldn't leave him, and I didn't want them to. His hair fell in front of his face and whisked perfectly in the wind as he ran, and his back and leg muscles flexed with each stride he took. His jaw clenched in fear and anger as he dodged and his eyes pierced holes into any soul they came across.
You get lost on his features, letting him guide you through and away from hell. You weren't worried about Ashley, you weren't worried about you, you weren't worried about dodging weapons or bodies being launched at you. Leon was the only thing that consumed your mind as you watched him. And he didn't even know.
"This way!" He shouts to Ashley and I as we approach a bridge. It doesn't look stable but with the man and those odd ass villagers chasing us, we don't have a choice! Leon tossed me out on the bridge letting go of my hand as he did. I was in the lead and his hands were now on my hips, leading me slowly and carefully across the unstable wood panels as he kept his eye on Ashley and I. His touch burned through my clothing as his hand felt hot and heavy against my body.
I hear the sound of wood snap behind us, and Leon's hands retract from my body. It was Ashley... She's stuck. Shit. "You okay?" Leon turns around trying to pull her leg out.
"My foots stuck." She frantically states as her breathing continues to get heavier. I quickly slide past Leon beginning to kick the wood panels around her ankle. Leon covers us shooting at the villagers that begin to bolt across the unstable bridge.
"We need to go." He looks over his shoulder still keeping his pistol in hand as he opens fire on another villager. The man topples on the panels sending the wood cracking and breaking everywhere, releasing Ashley from it's grip. "You gotta be kidding me." Leon mutters through clenched teeth as his jaw muscles submit to his gritting.
"Leon she's good." I shoot at him as he watches the ground begin to crumble, still keeping us covered.
He looks over his shoulder taking us in before speaking. "Then Run!"
