Another day of being "Miss Perfect". sometimes I hate it, but then sometimes too it pays off. I got ready and headed downstairs to take my breakfast before leaving for school.
"Hii, good morning Nana"she has lived with me for as long as I can remember and she takes care of me since my parents travel a lot.
"Good morning Bea," She said with a warm smile. she's the only one who called me by my middle name and I loved it. "I made your favorite today"
"ooo, pancakes with maple syrup...Thanks, Nana" I just loved her.
I ate quickly and went to school. Bridge High International, is the most prestigious private school in the country. Others would love to be here in this school, but I hated it. Everyone just wanted to show off their money and boast.
"Ashley,heyyy girl" Tasha, my best friend called out to me. It's good she did because I was thinking of ways to teach everyone here a lesson for mistreating poor people...JK! But I could do it tho.
"Hiii Tash"
"Guess who I saw today? I knew that look.
"Noooo, like seriously?"
"I am dead serious" Tash has a crush on this guy who lives in another country and he's been showing her signs that he feels the same way.
"He's back?"
"Yes he is, we decided to meet after school" she squealed in excitement.
"I'm so happy for you...after school??" my mind replayed that phrase
"Yeah, after school"
"You promised to be with me at the student's conference"
" I got too excited that I forgot that Ash...am sorry," I thought long and hard if I should just let Tash meet her crush. He rarely visited and I don't want her to miss her chance.
"Ash...please" she pouted
And now I give in
"ugh...fine. Only this time tho"
"Thanks, babes,you're the best" I extended my arms and she hugged me so tight. I felt the air leaving my lungs. She was so strong.
"I'm gonna be so nervous Tash..."
"Don't worry it will be okay, just act cool" She knew I embarrassed myself in front of him, how could she tell me to act cool?
"I embarrass myself in front of him"
"Yeah, that's true..."
*FLASHBACK, TO TWO WEEKS AGO*
"Ashley, Mr.Brooke has sent for you"
"M..M...Mee? , are you sure it's not you because you know you can talk to me freely and it's nothing ...I mean your big love eyes, I mean tonight you me there... I mean tell him I'll be right there"
Stupid! Gosh, you are so stupid, stupid stupid .
"Are you alright?"
"who? Me? yeah...yeah I'm tots okay...am so good... so fine...totally okay...okey dokey...I am bien"
WT...did you just speak French? girl control yourself
"I'm gonna go," i said and started walking backwards.
"Watch out..."
And I fell into the fountain, just great.
*FLASHBACK ENDING*
" oh,and remember--"
"Tash don't make me feel worse" I cut in
"Sorry, but you're gonna be alright. Trust me"
"I'm a complete fool around him"
"well yeah, but that's not the point...Ashley, you're the smartest and most beautiful girl I know, you're amazing and I am so happy to have you as my bestie 4 lyf. You're gonna be alright" I hugged her.
"Thanks, Tash, am gonna be alright...yeah. I need to show Levi that I'm different and we are gonna be perfect together.
"Speak of the devil..."
I turned my head to see Levi walking like a Greek god. He was a senior in his final year. To me, he was my future husband.
"Damn! He's just perfect" Was this love?
" Why don't you find out" I gave a strange look and before I knew it, Tash pushed me and I somehow landed in Levi's arms. It was like a movie...a dream...whatever it was, I never wanted it to stop
