"Levi, can Aiden and I talk in the study?"
"Sure, baby"
I saw Aiden giving him death stares. The atmosphere was very tense.
"Okay, Aiden, let's talk there"
"You sure you don't want me to come?" Levi asked for the third time.
I nodded my head and managed to convince him that I was gonna be alright.
I closed the door behind me.
"Did he seriously call you baby? Don't tell me you've forgiven him" He said.
His face showed how hurt he was.
"Aiden, you're such a great guy and two years with you have been so great, but I just can't love you how you want me to," I said while holding his hands.
"Ashley, you're gonna throw our two years away because of him. Have you forgotten how he hurt you?" He asked.
"Aiden, you know I've always loved him"
"Ashley, just give me a chance" He pleaded.
"Aiden, don't make this more difficult than it already is," I said to him.
"Ashley, you said you'd marry me"
"You know I didn't mean that. It was wrong of me to do that and I am sorry, from the bottom of my heart," I said to him and gave him back the ring.
"I don't need your apology, I need you to try and love me from the bottom of your heart" He had this look that gave me shivers.
I felt like I didn't know the real him.
"You know that's not gonna work out. I think you should leave now. Am sure you're gonna find someone who will love you so much" I said and hugged him.
He turned to leave, but looked back at me and said, "Mark my words, Ashley, I'm gonna come back for you"
