"Yo, Levi" It was Bev again. What did he want this time?
"What?"
"I love your attitude today"
"Stop playing around and get straight to the point"
"Yesterday, your babe was looking fire, Man! I swear, I couldn't control myself. Her body was driving me insane" That was enough.
I grabbed him by the collar.
"Watch your mouth, Bev" I wanted to beat him up so that he'd know his place.
"See, you like her."
"What?"
"You like her, you'd never go crazy if I said this about any other girl."
"Bev--"
"Look Levi, you better tell her how you feel before you lose your chance. You do not want to regret it so man up and tell her how you fucking feel" His words struck me.
Listen to him
I let go of his collar and walked up to Ashley's grade.
I walked in and everyone stared at me. I didn't care. I needed to get my girl back.
"Ashley, we need to talk," I said to her.
"Now!" I added with a stern voice.
She reluctantly got up and I held her hand and dragged her to the hallway.
"What do you want, Levi?" she asked and let go of my hand.
"Ashley..."

"Ashley, I'm sorry...I'm sorry for all the awful things I said to you at the club. Believe me, I didn't mean it. I didn't want to hurt you, but my words did. I knew that if we got together, I wouldn't be able to commit. I didn't want to get your hopes up and hurt you in the end so I said those things so that there'd be a barrier between us. But I just can't do this anymore. You can call me an asshole or a jerk, I don't mind. I deserve it."
I took her hands in mine and looked her in the eyes.
"Ashley, you drive me insane. I swear, I don't know how I survive the whole day in school because you drive me crazy. You are beautiful, smart and cute, and funny and so hot and...and...and...I like you a lot"
I tucked a hair behind her ear and pulled her towards me.
"I like you so much...I've liked you for a while now and it took an asshole for me to realize that"
She was so quiet.
I knew all this was a shock to her.
I kissed her and left.
It was as if a heavy weight left my chest.
