"Ugh," zuko exhaled after sokka had left sending a spark out of his hand. He redirected it to now, reopening the cuts on his wrist. Drips of blood hit his sheets, not notable enough, though, considering the red silk set. How could he was been so dismissive, zuko thought? Was he really holding them back? The pool of blood began to grow spreading across the bed spread. He was right what sokka and him were doing isn't even illegal where he's from but he was hurt that sokka couldn't tell his sister. Azula knew about Zuko's preferences and that was azula, Katara had to take it better. But equally zuko knew he couldn't rush things either, he didn't even know if he wanted people knowing, I mean it's not like him and sokka were even together. Zuko tossed and turned in his sheets until the thoughts and the loss of blood eventually caused him to pass out for the night.

The next morning Sokka got up early for a run, he needed to clear his head. The air outside was thick and humid, drowning sokka in his thoughts. After about a mile of running Sokka was about done with it, and zuko. He just wanted zuko to get it, he wasn't ready for katara to know. Things had been going so well, he liked what they had. It was their little secret. Was that all it was though? Zuko had basically brushed off whatever connection they had built last night. But it was fine, they were just having fun anyways. It started to rain but sokka didn't care he ran faster back to the house hoping somewhere along the way he'd find an answer.

He walking through the back door when, sneaking inside when he heard his name come out of katara's mouth.

"Sokka and suki, you didn't hear?" she was speaking to aang who was seated across from her in the living room.

"No, what do you mean?" aang replied concerned.

"They broke up," Sokka winced he didn't like the term, he preferred moved on.

"Ohh" aang replied sadly.

"It was probably for the best. You see relationships they just make things more complicated"

"But then what about us?" aang questioned. Us? Sokka thought, well he knew it would happen sometime but I guess that time is now for them.

"Aang we're different," Katara explained, "Sokka and suki, they're both very strong willed. And Sokka after Yue I don't think he's really ready for someone new"

Was she right? Sokka thought, did his sisters really think he wasn't ready? He was way over Yue, and he was more mature that katara, she hadn't even gone past first base.

"Oh I guess that makes sense" aang agreed, "I think it's good that Sokka's ready to find new people though"

"I keep getting the sense there's something between him and zuko," Katara said encouraged by aang's train in thought. She continued laughing a bit, "it's crazy right? I mean can you imagine?"

Aang just shrugged, taking a sip of his tea.

Crazy? Him and zuko weren't crazy, sokka thought. This is exactly why he didn't want to tell katara she didn't understand! Frustrated, sokka closes the door and walks  entering through the front door to look less suspicious. He avoided saying anything to his sister, pushing into zuko's room flustered.

"Zuko I overheard Kat talking to aang- I'm definitely not gonna tell her"

Zuko turned around surprised as he was getting up for the day and sokka hasn't even bothered to knock, "Alright, fine. You don't need to ask my permission"

"Oh I wasn't. It's just I don't want her knowing yet, with aang having to fight oazi and everything"

Zuko pulled a shirt over his chest, "Don't blame my father for this! Sokka your the one who said it was as my doubts reining this, but it's yours. You're such a hypocrite" zuko could tell sokka was upset but at this point he was just annoyed.
