MINK

"How can he be gone?" Mink cried. She dug through the grave one last time, hoping to find something.

Nothing.

"What if someone took him?" Tamarin's pale eyes were clouded with worry. "What if they're going to torture him even more?"

"Who would do that?" Mink asked. "Destroyer's dead, right? No one would want to hurt him anymore."

"Maybe he's not dead." She turned to see Brightness, who had one wing over Tamarin. Anemone scowled, but said nothing. "Destroyer might have taken him."

"We should go check the cave," Anemone offered. "Whoever it is might have brought Visioner there."

Visioner woke up with cold scales covering his body. He shivered, slipping out from underneath Destroyer's wing. He stared at his father's blazing amber eyes, noticing the fury and terror.

How long had passed, Visioner wasn't sure, but he heard wingbeats nearing their cave. He jumped whirling around. The dragonets he had seen near his grave entered the cave.

Visioner stared at them, terrified, until the IceWing broke the silence.

"Visioner...?"
